So about his tracksuit probably smelling, it really shouldn't. We've already been shown they regularly wash their clothes and bathe.

So no, no-one is giving you HUNDREDS, if not THOUSANDS of Dollars for beating them in a Pokémon battle ^^' More like a couple of Dollars. Good Rule of Thumb: Remove two zeros, and you'll have a ROUGH translation into Dollaridoos (or Euros, or Pounds)
