HxH Ep 37

woah!

HxH Ep 37

The memory thing is simply different for everyone ^^ I have concrete memories since 4 (Some before then but only flashes) and its very little random things/moments that nobody would talk about

Middyrose

I am super late but Killua for sure sensed her, that's why he said "I wish my mom was like Mito-san" so loud.

RussellSD

y'all are a delight to witness

Winter Turnip

My earliest memory is from when I was 3: U woke up in a panic from a dream where I distinctly thought these words, "am I still in the womb?" And at the time, I didn't know what a womb was or even know the word existed. In my panic, I got up out of the lower bunk of my bunk bed, rushed out the door on my right, made a left down the hallway, and I asked the closest adult, "how old am I?", and I was told I was 3, and my panic faded. It lead into a fuzzy conversation about birthdays. To this day, I don't know why I was in a panic about that, or why I felt the need to ask my age so bad.

100% agree with Alicia on the responsibilities of being a parent. The moment you have a kid, everything else has to become secondary. Otherwise, you aren't doing your job.

Quinton Macejkovic

That scene of gon talking to Killua about Mito being his mom is one of the sweetest and most heartfelt scenes i have witness in any anime, it's emotional but it's not trying to be overly dramatic... it always makes me teary-eyed every time i rewatch the anime.

Julio Castillo

Well you are literally wearing his outfit...

V_VMat

I was adopted at birth, and Gon's feelings about Mito being his only mom are very relatable

Brave Cross

I have a memory from when I was three I am fairly certain I wasn't told about. I simply remember running (probably toddling) from the living room area of my grandparents' house to the kitchen area. I was wearing a diaper. I remember it mostly as a still frame, but I don't believe anyone would have told me about a scene when nothing really happened. They weren't my first steps, that's for sure.

Minibom22

Alicia, you are talking about a boy whose multiple bone fractures were fully healed in a single month when they were supposed to take four, do you really think a concussion is enough to keep him down?

HappyDoodads

Sorry for commenting twice in a row, but I just remembered the memory thing you guys were talking about. My oldest memory is of me looking at black kitten underneath a table. For the longest time tho, I wasn't sure if that was actually a memory or some dream that stuck with me. Eventually tho, I told my mom about it, and she said that when I was two, she brought me along while going to look at a friend's kittens. She said she wasn't planning on actually taking any home, but she found me looking at a kitten and trying to talk to it. Apparently, I was more talkative than I'd ever been before, so she brought home two kittens that day. I'm kinda rambling now, but basically it was nice learning that memory was actually real, and getting some extra context for it

"The commenters are gonna say I'm Gon reacting to Gon!" I mean, you are wearing his outfit lol. I understand tho. I get compared to Gon a bit too by my friends, and every time I'm always a little flattered, but a little offended too asdfgh

The reason we see so many parents abandoning kids in anime AND their kids respecting them for it is cultural. They are not seeing their kids as burdens but at the most meaningful part of their life and the fact they are willing to give up EVERYTHING normal people would want for a higher purpose makes them respectful. This mirrors Buddhist monks giving up all earthly desires to achieve enlightenment but instead in anime they are becoming pirates and hunters.

Re memory capacity irl -- it is not an absolute that memories before a certain age are impossible or no longer authentic to their source event. Granted, I speak from experience but possibly one that is an exception.

E. H.

Idk if I’m the first to say it, or what, but Alicia talking about the responsibility of being a parent hit me really hard. I won’t elaborate, I just feel that 1000%

Anthony Corvello

Now we know the truth, Zoro's childhood friend, Kuina, was killed by Azu

Grandmasta

Oh wow! I had no idea haha. That is amazing!

Kayden

Also, Mito-san's VA is Gon's VA's mom. So I can understand why you thought their voices sounded similar.

roc_kerf_ace

Alicia a shonen protag fr.

Fake Name

Alicia, you are clearly neither Gon or Luffy. You are some weird fusion of the two. I will name this fusion Goffy. (Pronounced Goofy.)

Miklar Sihn

Holy shit, so I tried looking up the VA for Mito-san cause I thought she sounded a little like Meimei from AD, but as it turns out, ITS GON'S VA THAT IS THE SAME AS MEIMEI. My mind is blown.

Kayden

My weirdest oldest memory was when i would have been about maybe 5-ish possibly older, i think it was a daycare type place we walked in through the door and for some reason i remember seeing an orange/yellow oval spiraling portal floating in mid air in front of us, then i immediately left and tried to go back out the door and we left. no idea to this day why i thought i saw that at the time its a very odd memory fragment/flash. Memories are interesting.

Kieren

Worst part with Usopp father is that when his wife was dying, he was partying a few islands away with Luffy. This guy is total trash

Jakub Fabian

Alicia’s paranoia was on overdrive this stream
