There may be one exception in a future arc, but even then it’s not complete dedication solely to training; the plot will always move in parallel to it. Whether luffy is a genius or he just trains off screen is up to your own interpretation, but he did not have gear 2 in the pocket back on water 7

But also, English is an amalgamation of a bunch of different languages, and each word roughly follows the rules of the language that the word derives from, and that's why it's highly inconsistent, and that is why I said "Technically" that that is how "Cerberus" should be pronounced. Also, how would you feel if someone pronounced your name differently on perpose even after being explained how to say it? It would be pretty insulting, now, wouldn't it; like I'm mocking you. I'm not telling anyone to change how they want to pronounce things; I'm just pointing out that what she called crazy is actually historically accurate.

It's just as surprising for us as it is for the enemy. I am extremely over MCs in modern Animes inner monologuing so often about every little thing they do during a fight or at anytime really, so this has always felt refreshing to me, even on rewatch. In the Manga, Luffy pretty much never uses thought bubbles. Only if he's under water or something
