If they want to sprinkle stuff gradually until the actual arc I don't mind, but if they push it too early then they will have to skip an insane amount of stuff which I hope they don't.

Doesnt look like he does in the anime, maybe animating the wrapped dagger constantly felt like too much work for the timeframe they had to get the episode out?
