It's fine to talk about things that do relate to a story or show, but sometimes she deviates too far from what a character is talking about or going through in that moment.

But Luz isn't more in the wrong than King even in the first part of the episode, I'd say she's much less so in fact. King was the one who didn't want to compromise and just did his own thing after Luz had incorporated Kings violence into the story, only to have King literally toss everything she wrote in the trash. Her just stepping away and letting him write what he wanted instead of starting an argument was the more mature way to handle that situation

2024-03-31 20:37:23 +0000 UTCIt's actually an error in the subtitles. I don't know why Disney+ apparently has some weird errors in the subtitling for a few episodes, but you can see it on the screen. Instead of "You. Lackey." it says "You. Blacky."

2024-03-31 15:26:23 +0000 UTCYeeeeah... season 1, in particular definitely has a handful of painfully obvious "Disney mandated some written-by-comitee" sorta episodes that have a tenth of the show's usual creativity. They still do a pretty good job with those, considering, but they're largely seen as kinda being like what "The Great Divide" was, for Avatar: The Last Airbender, in that they're not exactly bad, or anything... but they feel a bit *too* on-the-nose, for a series that thrives on its subtlety. The characters remain consistently entertaining, throughout, which helps a lot, though! Always kind of a huuuuuge relief that the character-writing stays consistent, even for the more stereotypical trope-y episodes. And the extra good news is that season 2 and 3 clearly had a LOT more creative freedom. Or, well... other than the fact that the show was cut a bit short, because of some evil Disney shiz that's not worth getting into right now. Anyways! Definitely a blast to watch reactions for, but one of those "woo! Best time for the Patreon binge!" sorta moments, as there's also some big favorites coming up. ^^
