When you say actual actress it makes it sounds as if Oda married Nami's voice actress or something. Oda's wife played Nami on a stage show back in '04.

2024-12-16 12:21:49 +0000 UTCYou know, there's a joke that Luffy isn't very smart because his brain is made of rubber, so his synapses have trouble connecting. Also, Oda didn't just marry a Nami cosplayer, he married Nami's actual actress. He has also made connections between himself an Luffy in the past - for example, when his daughter was born, he put out a picture of Luffy and Nami holding a baby girl together. With that context, Rubber-Brain!Luffy x Bubble-Brain!Nami sounds pretty cute. Also, to be completely fair to Kalifa, Nami genuinely could have had a fruit that would allow her to transform into a beast like Monster Chopper. I'm not sure which fruit that might have been, but it's not like it was totally impossible, when Kalifa herself doesn't know much about Nami's history. Not to mention, she had spent the past few moments chasing around illusions, which themselves could have been fruit related as well.

The first zoom being Chopper in monster form scaling the building, and the other two zooms coming from different places indicating the rooms the different Straw Hats are currently in. Either way, your amusement was hilarious
