2024-05-13 23:30:39 +0000 UTCWe can literally see her use her Semblance on Qrow. You hear the noise again, and we get a shot of Cinder's face from Qrow's POV, and it's warped. He focused on saving the maiden first, and by the time he focused on them, Emerald had already hit him with her Semblance.

Emeralds needs to focus on someone to use her semblance, doesn't she? She wouldn't have been able to use it on Crow since he came out of nowhere to rescue the maiden.

2024-05-13 22:37:43 +0000 UTCit's not a plothole technically. we don't know HOW long it's been since that attack on the Maiden. for all we know, it actually could have been over a year or 2. besides, with how drunk Qrow always gets, do you really expect him to remember a grey haired, grey and black color schemed bland as hell character like Mercury? (i just mean in terms of him being drunk, i love Mercury. Yuri Lowenthal aka Sasuke kills it!)

He saw the three of them attacking the maiden and even if we assume he never crossed them at the academy by "unlucky" chance, at the very least he saw Yang's match. It seems a bit of a plothole IMHO... but it's a nitpick anyway.
