An interesting thing about Oscar is that he was foreshadowed all the way back in volume 1. The first night at Beacon when Ruby and Yang are talking to Blake they asked her about her book and she described it as a story about a man with 2 souls in his body and both of them fighting for control.

Except that Faunus only get 1 trait from their animal, bad eyesight to go with his tail would mean Tyrian had 2. Plus, causing his enemies to miss things like that is literally Qrow's Semblance, so there is no need for an extra explanation.

I don't think it's confirmed or anything, but there's a theory out there that the reason Tyrian couldn't block or dodge the punches, despite being able to avoid bullets from behind and swings from a sword and all that, is because scorpions have weaker eyesight and often rely on their ability to sense vibrations in the air instead, to catch prey and detect predators. And since gunshots and swings from a sword would make a lot more noise and vibrations than just swinging your arm, he wasn't able to defend against the punches as well as he could with everything else. It kinda makes sense if you ask me, especially after Qrow looked directly at the broken beam in the roof, and Tyrian proceeded to jump right on top of it anyways. Can't say for sure, but I personally really like that theory :)

As funny as that is. I doubt Tyrian shits from his tail.

Somebody long ago pointed out that scorpion tails are essentially their assholes... so Ruby just tore him a new one, literally
