Not exactly, it's much better then the typical American reservation. (The people are left alone and can make a proper life for themselves, not be caught up with the country where they are more or less forced to be integrated into American society/culture)

Speed1247

Yang really is going through it this arc, like until Adam she never had such a one sided beat down, she's only lost once before properly but even then she got some hits in and took a beating for a bit. Her semblance makes her seem invincible and for Adam to cut straight through her aura and her semblance, that is another level of trauma. (To be fair he sort of cheated, his semblance is overpowered)

Menagerie is typically a America indigenous reservation. Where all tribes are shipped to the worst spots and told to make do.

"a piece of me is gone and its never coming back" has such a double meaning for Yang for real

Yeah, meant as respectfully as possible, he knew exactly what he was doing. I actually think that episode in particular (along with some of the rest of this season later) really showcases that Tai knows Yang better than anyone else in the entire series. Ruby and Yang are close. But Tai is the only person who actually understands her. He is an excellent father. Something this show hadn't really shown at all because all family figures we knew about early on were either dead, alcoholics, or pieces of shit. This cluster of episodes really showed that team RWBY does have good parents as well. Tai and the Belladonna's in particular in this case. Also for the record, I think Qrow does a lot of things right but also isn't exactly an ideal father figure overall. In addition, Tai is certainly not perfect... I mean Yang literally had to be Ruby's parent because of some of his failures. But he shows in this volume that he is still a good parent.

Faunus as a replacement??

Thankfully Tai raised Yang so he already knew her sense of humor well enough to know that was still in bounds.

Oh yeah, it's the episode that suggests that Taiyang dated both the Branwen twins
