In defense of Rasta Starfish, he isn't fully to blame for what happened. Camie was also fully aware of the danger she was in being there as a mermaid, as was Hachi being a fishman. Hachi could've stayed or Camie could've just went with them. Multiple points of failure led to it.

He wasn't though. The only reason we know that is because of audience privilege seeing Hogback and Absalom talk about it. The only thing Luffy was told was that this paper is showing that your brother is in danger/not perfectly healthy. But to Luffy, Ace is so much stronger than he is, so there's no way he's in any danger, right? And besides, he wouldn't want his baby brother to come check on him anytime he takes some damage (which again, is the only context Luffy has). It's perfectly keeping in character to have Luffy carry on, thinking that Ace will be fine. Had he in known that he was imprisoned, he likely would have gone to help him, but he didn't know.

Word association along with smell and taste are amazing ways to jog and even evoke memories. I even took notes in school and college based on it by using a bunch of different mints and hard candy (and chewing gum in the classes where the teachers were okay with it as long as you chewed quietly) as well as different colognes. It did make my notes look like random word salad written by a madman, some teachers did take it as me pretending to pay attention if they saw it until i proved it worked for me.

You're right, emotions are not easily controlled, when you are young. Hell, even older folks like me struggle with emotions. Gauging how someone else feels is just a measure of knowing them personally, and that is dependent on the people you keep as company. When it comes to flings, it can get closer, it can be ships passing in the ocean, but it takes two to make that happen. I will say that at 19, you learn quick, fast, and in a hurry that what flies in high school is not always practical in the real world. I have a tip for keeping a relationship. Love someone the same amount they love you. Sounds simple enough, but it's plenty difficult in practice. Emotions are not something easily controlled, there are times when you wish to feel some way but can't, and there are times when you feel a way that in your mind you think you shouldn't. It's also difficult to gage precisely how someone else feels and that's only possible through the observation of interactions with the individual (this doesn't mean stalk the person, just pay attention to how that person interacts, the person's mannerisms, and body language). And even after all of that, it's not guaranteed that the relationship will grow, there's a chance for the feeling to mutually fizzle as well and if that happens, it wasn't meant to be. Best case scenario, you live your life in a happy, loving relationship, worst case, you go your separate ways and avoid a nasty break up with pent-up emotions. Play the game? Nah, make the game and moderate it. This is experience speaking, and at 19 years old, my experience is limited, so don't take my word as law, but I've never had a bad break up despite being in multiple good relationships turned toxic and I could tell you exactly what went wrong in each of them.

Personally, when it comes to dating advice or flirting, I think it is a mixed bag. There is some sound advice out there, for some people. And then there is terrible advice... For some people. Not everyone is going to be into every guy, gal, or non-binary pal! I will say this, and I think it rings true as far as dating advice: If they seem uninvested, just go elsewhere. Even if they WANT you to chase, that shit is not worth the time and effort. That's not about women either, there are plenty of people who like to play the game like it is poker or some shit, and if you like that by all means, but if you aren't interested, take your chips and leave the table, there are plenty of other people to find out there. In defense of Luffy's decision with Ace, remember that in the previous episodes Luffy stated he doesn't read the news. It's unlikely the story was on every newspaper after leaving Thriller Bark, especially considering how quickly they got here, so Luffy just didn't even realize Ace was in prison, he just assumed Ace was off on some crazy adventure.

OK, I'm not going to be mean or anything but I just want to clear something up as I've heard it talked about frequently recently. I'm on the Ace spectrum. Not everyone that is Ace is sex repulsed. We don't all just make friends. Plenty of us still have the same kind of desires everyone else does but we just experience attraction differently. For my case, I am not actually attracted to anyone until I have had some time to get to know them. I can still appreciate beauty but it doesn't produce any kind of physical attraction. I develop romantic feelings the same way. Unfortunately for me, this does make dating a little more difficult in my opinion. It is kind of hard to date when you aren't attracted to anyone. Kind of kills the motivation I think. I know this was a long post, so thanks if you took the time to read it and have a nice day.

With the announcement of the execution, I must say Welcome to Sabaody, where One Piece gets wild. What truly makes me hate the Celestial Dragons, and what makes me think that they are worse than most other anime villains, is that they are privilege manifest. To summarize, without going into spoiler territory, they lack any redeeming qualities found in other despicable villains. They don´t need to be charming, manipulative or have some grand interesting plan, because they already got everything they want. Their being starts and ends with privilege so blind that they cannot fathom anything going against them. But they are still humans, so they don´t get the excuse some other villains get of having an alien sense of morality, ideals and values. Because their only ideal is "We are above, so you are below us". They don´t even fight their own battles, relying on henchmen and the System to prop them up. So they don´t even have the badass factor going for them. And they aren´t even funny. They are just pathetic overly-privileged man/woman-children, and there are times were they feel dreadfully real. On a lighter note, I think that Usopp hitting Brook and Chopper is the one/first time he gets to be on the opposite side of that gag, and you know what? Good for him.
