It's not really that Luffy is asexual, as he has shown interest in the past. It's more likely that he isn't really attracted to physical traits, as it is that he would be attracted to the individual herself. It fits with his character, and he really knew nothing about Boa at this point - not that he ever actually does see her as anything more than a friend.

He has his own priorities, and sexuality isn't something he is concerned with. Some day he might find out he is asexual, just as likely as he is not.

2024-05-28 14:48:02 +0000 UTCBoth Goku and Luffy are modeled after Wukong who has a child like mentality, they are just characters that don't think or care about those kind of things at all, if luffy would to ever develop a relationship (thing oda has said he really doesn't want to explore in his series) i think the most accurate term would be demisexual: based on his character if he ever develops attraction or feelings towards someone, it would be because of their personality, not their appearance

2024-05-27 21:42:43 +0000 UTCJust so you know for future reference, because I have seen many other reactors get confused on this, in the future whenever you see "Conquerors Spirit" or "Conquerors Haki" or "Color of the Supreme King", these all refer to the same thing, it is just different translation interpretations based on the time and who is translating at that point because the OP anime spans 25 years IRL. They are all translations of the term "Haoshoku no Haki".

Since Oda never directly stated that he is ase that could be a future plotpoint (which I personaly doubt and wouldnt want, but I like being a devil(fruit) advocate)

2024-05-27 21:06:40 +0000 UTCat this point it's pretty much confirmed that luffy is prety much comletely asexual. he never once has really shown any interest in women (or men), or really anything sexual, outside that one scene in alabastar where they peeked on nami and vivi in the bath, but even that has been confirmed to be mostly a spur of the moment thing, born from usopp egging luffy on and him getting into the spirit of things. and if even seeing one of the most beautiful women in the world naked doesn't do it, i'm not sure what ever will. but explains why luffy is completely uneffected by boa's (m)ero (m)ero powers.
