Ehhhhh, those two were also mass murderers that gleefully condoned horrendous torture just for the shiggles. On top of that given what we know about the justice system in this world there is a very high chance that less than 50% of people in impel down actually deserved to be in prison at all. The fact that they thought they were doing the right thing kind of helps them not be true villains. But I am never going to feel bad for those assholes.

I didn't like the vice warden, but he was right and i got to respect his willingness to stand to protect peoples mental, plus he gets serious when his subordinates were hurt

I know they don't show the fate of Bon-chan in the anime so i don't know if i should spoil it. it shows it only on the manga covers. not gonna say more but its not in the anime or manga just covers stories.

Anime, once again, just filling time by adding extra shots and making the marines look worse than they actually are. Next arc is going to be the worst with filler stuff like this, to the point that it is my least favorite One Piece anime arc.

2024-06-28 22:36:26 +0000 UTCAnd so the Pride Month Prison Escape was saved by the combined powers of the militant LGBTQA+ alliance, Mecha Anime, the summoning of a pod of Blåhajar and a guy who looks like every sketchy substitute art teacher. Capped off with with the sacrifice of one of the most ride or die characters in all of anime. What a glorious ride. And it was all thanks to Captain Buggy, the greatest Captain to ever sail the four seas. Something I have always appreciated is how casually great Inazuma is as a character. Like, he is just this stoic badass, who is incredibly powerful, while being mostly in the background. Not to mention how ride or die she is for Ivankov, and them being willing to risk his life to fight Magellan and slow him down. And we know basically nothing about her. They just rode in with Ivankov and started kicking ass, while sipping wine and refusing to elaborate on anything. What an icon.

2024-06-28 09:47:35 +0000 UTCWell, Jinbe is a whale shark fish-man himself, so him being able to communicate with those whale sharks, does make a certain degree of sense. also, minor spoiler regarding the events of episode 451, so as always continue at your own risk. this was revelead a few chapters later on in the manga, in the cover stories, but not included in the anime: for everyone worried about bon-chan; it was revealed he survived and is currently the new reigning queen of level 5.5.

Even after he sacrificed himself at the end of Alabasta, I saw that more of something he deserved for all the horrible stuff he did and was party to as a member of Baroque Works. But this arc changed my view of him. He really came in clutch and was a great friend. Great writing from Oda.
