That moment where Killua says "Gon will trade his life for Pitou's" is actually a mistranslation, and Pitou's not mentioned in that sentence at all. At that point, Killua is talking about Gon and himself, and what he says is more akin to "I'll go down in flames with him, I guess". However, Killua specifically uses the word "Shinjū" where two people—commonly lovers—kill themselves in the same/similar ways so they can be together in the afterlife. That being said, the most literal translation would be "It'll end with a lover's suicide, I guess". In the end tho, Killua is trying to imply that he and Gon will die together, nothing about Pitou

They explained what pouf was doing in episode 118 with him splitting up his particles small enough to move through his smokey jail. You paused on the scene of the explanation and didn't read what was happening I suppose
