He could have easily held onto resentment and hatred after Sabo's death. But we saw at Sabaody, Luffy only gave Charlos a Bellamy-Punch because Charlos shot Hachi. If Luffy wanted, he could have acted out his revenge for Sabo at that time too, but Luffy is not like that.

Yeah, having the revolutionaries and their ship dock on Zoro's island, to then have Dragon come back from the Celestial Dragon ceremony is not exactly intuitive. But again. We already knew the Celestial Dragon was on Luffy's island. Seems like Dragon sailed to the ceremony on his own, leaving his revolutionaries safely FAR away from the World Government entourage.

The way you forget they are gone, see them sit in their usual space, or think "I should tell them about this" whenever you see something funny/interesting. It will always be fascinating to me that it took 500 episodes for us to get a deep look at Luffys backstory. I am still fascinated by how much of an enigma him and his thought process (whatever exists of it) is. Compared to so many other shounen MCs.

Kuina who was worried about going through female puberty and wished she was a boy, and Ivankov with hormone magic. This theory has probably been disproven already (Oda makes so many comments that sometimes he accidentally disproves unrelated fan theories), but dang, the possibility was right there. That said, as much as I love a good trans narrative, I'm not sure it would be the best direction to take Kuina in because it could be interpreted as it being true that she could never be the best as a girl, which even Zoro called out.

Luffy must be thinking of Sabo when he punched the celestial dragon. This also add weight to luffy’s order to usopp to burn the government flag in enies lobby. Luffy said, “I now understood the identity of Robins enemy. SOGEKING’ shoot through that flag.”

For over 500 episodes he never once doubted that he would achieve his dream of becoming king of the pirates, so hearing him lament about being too weak shook me to my core. But all great heroes have their despair event horizon before they muster the strength to keep on fighting!
