Just FYI, Pterosaurs, the group to which Pterodactyls belongs aren't actually dinosaurs. They're also arkosaurs, the group that includes crocodiles and dinosaurs(including birds), and more closely related to the common ancestor of dinosaurs as we define dinosaurs, but they are a distinct group. fun fact: some people are mentioning that oda took a break after this part, but there's more to it. The break made the next chapter line up to be literally 2 years after they got disbanded in real time. Also idk if you remember but Aisa not only was able to hear everyone, she specifically went through the same shit as Koby, suffering from hearing everyone dying

I love how one piece just smoothly flows into itself and is really consistent with the connections of each arc, some will reference things that happened hundreds of episodes ago or in the future. And theres damn near Nothing that does not make sense at some point

Actually, there are some moments in Marineford where you were confused that Haki actually retroactively explains (e.g. the pirates being confused when their hits don't land on some logia users) Will you also consider making some videos covering this pre-timeskip section of One Piece, such as favorite Strawhat ranking or favorite arc ranking?

That man (and every mangaka) deserves it. On top of legitimately wanting him to be happy and healthy, I do kind of selfishly want him and him alone to be able to finish One Piece. I know he's said he's given some people the information of how it would end, so they could "finish it" if the worst happened, but I want Oda's One Piece from beginning to end. Also, I would hate to think that he was making something I enjoy so much if he was downright miserable at the time

Armament Haki doesn't deactivate the effects of a Devil Fruit, it just lets you damage the fruit user. So impaling a Logia in elemental state still isn't going to kill them, it's just going to make them feel the pain of being impaled. This is why Akainu had to manipulate Ace into taking the blow for Luffy. He couldn't just kill him by punching a hole through his flames with haki.

Mihawk basically went "God you´re so cringe. I love it" at Zoro. I have said it before, and I will say it again, the family dynamic of those three is peak. Goth Daddy Icon Mihawk, Pastel Goth and Fed Up Older Sister Perona, and Idiot Jock Son Zoro. The fanfics basically writes themselves. Something I appreciate about Usopp, is that his dream of being a brave warrior of the sea, was kinda half-assed, not thought through machismo, at first. And he often breaks when he is tested, but again and again he learns to work through the fear and that he have to make a stand. Not just for his own sake, but for his friends who rely on him. And I think this wavering in his dream is what makes him stand out from his friends, who are all totally clear and dedicated to their goals. They got on the ship because they knew their what dreams their dream is and they believed being on the ship could help them archive it. Usopp got on it because he thought it would be cool, and now he is learning to grow into the dream he somewhat recklessly declared. And in a show where dreams and ideals are everything, it makes him an interesting character.

Honestly never been a fan of haki being able to counter logia straight up, means we will pretty much never get a unique fight like Crocodile or Enel if haki users are involved since brute force can always be a solution. Why problem solve when punch option exists?

I have a running theory that Luffy had subconsciously used Armament Haki during his last fight with Crocodile, as the amount of blood Luffy was bleeding shouldn't have been enough to cause Crocodile's sand to solidify, unless the scene was censored to have Luffy bleed less. Crocodile even didn't complete his sentence when he got punched, not saying anything about the blood, and as someone that has already remarked about going back to the New World, he likely is very familiar with Haki, especially because Whitebeard, who he holds a strong vendetta at, should be more than able to use it. Which leads me to a bit of a plot hole I noticed during the Marieford War, two individuals with Devil Fruit Powers survived encounters with those that should have access to Armament Haki: Aokiji should have a bloody hole through him from Whitebeard stabbing him, as Whitebeard should have known about the admirals Logia Devil Fruit ability, which would make him use Armament Haki against Aokiji when he jumped at Whitebeard, but instead it was an expected hole for a Logia type injury, which is nothing at all. As someone who squares off with Shanks every now and again, Mihawk should be more than able to use Armament Haki, yet Buggy was not shredded to bloody ribbons when cut, despite the fact that Armament Haki being a hard counter to Devil Fruit powers.

I really love ep 516 explaining Haki because I'm such a huge writing nerd. I'm a person who thinks power sets should be limited to keep them from the author being able to write whatever they want, it forces them to be creative. I loved that aside from devil fruits, almost everything we see or will see in one piece can fall into the three types of Haki and Oda keeps to the rules pretty damn well.

I would consider one piece to be in 3 parts first is east blue/ first half of grand line. Secondly the new world and finally the final saga which I think is grand enough and especially narratively to have its own section

I would call it the first half considering where we are now in the manga. Currently we are in the final saga and 72 chapters away from having the same amount of chapters as pre-TS. The anime doesn't count here because it sadly has way more pacing issues after the timeskip which even negatively influences the public opinion on certain arcs. All arcs you will watch now will either have the same amount or even more episodes as there are chapters in the manga. Also: Do you remember Aisa from Skypiea which had the same "condition" that Koby has? This is the connection you can make here – but you are clearly in the majority if you don't notice it.

Congratulations on making it this far. As a heads up if you want to you should read the cover stories for this half of the grand line. it's has some cool story's they didn't animate. Such as what eneru did when he went to the moon, where did wapol land after being sent flying, why is jango a marine now and what happened to CP9 after the buster call. I stopped watching the anime after this so I don't know if they animated any of the future ones. Also has cool art requests drawn by oda for fans. I'm sure there is a video on YouTube of them if you want a quick view but feel free to ignore this.
