And he only needed to date one girl (so he claims, he dated another before grandma but he says it doesn't count and grandma says it wasn't serious but it's funny) but still we then have Mabel here throwing herself at anything with a male chromosome and unable to get to the basics of a actually healthy relationship.

I was a shy mf so she asked me to prom because we were friends. After the prom we barely spoke (I was stuck in a depression spiral after graduating) and one day saw her with a mutual guy friend we had. I assumed that they were in a relationship and congratulated her on it to which she cleared up that at the time they were just friends. I wanted to then ask her out on a date myself but was scared and turned it into a sort of friend meetup instead, even recommending that she invite our mutual friend. Months after that we continued to not speak until we met again at my job where they did end up becoming a couple. I am genuinely happy for her and him, but I'm also pretty sure I fumbled it hard at multiple points. My bragging rights are that I was at least asked out by the hottest girl in class.
