You were lucky. For a long time I thought women (this was way before I would've been aware of any distinction between sex and gender) could just randomly get pregnant for no reason at all. I was very relieved to be a boy, but also once or twice wondered why boys even existed :D

PWAW

Stan sure has some thoughts about those glasses he found

Verdigree

I never had the talk, I actually had sex ed classes where I learned everything, but I came away from those classes thinking that if you had unprotected sex, even just once, you would get pregnant. It was weird for me to hear about people trying to have a kid like it was a struggle.

seireidoragon .

I had the talk, it was awful. My dad, grandpa, and uncle talked to me about it at the same time. Also, there's a new book about gravity falls that implies the Pines twins were sent there so the parents could discuss divorce terms.

Matthew Snedden

Ted Bundy was in MT, not lot of people not lot of cars, using process of elimination, you figure who's car it is, also 18yr Montana girls are dumb and only go out with guys with big trucks.

Yeah, trying to keep people in the dark about sex tends to work out really bad empirically. People who don't get comprehensive sex ed tend to have way more teen pregnancies, way more stds, it just works out worse for everyone.

pizzamonkey

Sorta just figured it out on my own.

Gildarts1#fan

scrumptious

millecamps

Never had the talk, very Christian family. I learned all my shit from tv and internet.

Dale Cooper

You had me at "Shut up, old man."

Urgoslav

Never had the talk, and my country doesn't really do sex ed per se

Shank Mugen

Never had the talk, I had an education like normal people

Rueduciel

I don't think I've had the talk either. My mom wass always busy taking care of the house and of my younger siblings, and my step-dad is socially awkward, so nobody ever told me anything, I learned stuff at school, by talking to friends and through the Internet.

KeterLordFR

I never needed "the talk" because my parents signed the permission slip for sex ed every year. On the occasion that I had extra questions to ask them they had no problem answering, but classes covered what I needed to know pretty well.

Kevin Bartelen

I never had the talk, I kinda beat them to the punch and figured it out by raiding "The Stash" of "DVDs" my father had. I will admit, I was a gremlin child growing up.

Demon Slayer

I never had The Talk, but I forget when exactly my brain put it together how babies happen; I think it was a combo of TV shows and a vague recollection of health class-- tho most of it was just the diseases you could get. We had the Scare Tactics class apparently 🙄

Katt

I had the talk, my parents wanted me to know about it before the sex ed class in school. I am glad they did because the class in school was far enough from the truth that I would had been very confused growing up

Tigerguy

I had the Talk when I was 12, but, by that point, I already knew all of it, more or less. It was essentially a formality, not that I'd ever admit that to my dad.

tellurium_allure

My parents never gave me the talk, I learned from kids' educational books about anatomy. Not even the internet, I didn't have access to that when I was younger.

Vincent

Few things are as scrumptious as the flesh of a pig once man, speech and sentience intact.

AbsurdToastling

I don’t usually care much for body swap stories, but the realistic depiction of how horrific it would be to find yourself trapped in another persons body convinced me to keep an open mind for this episode.

Sam Marsh

I had the talk when I was 8 cause I wanted to download Procreate (an art app) and I asked my parents and they freaked out. Apparently when I asked "Can I have Procreate?" they didn't hear the have...

Killian_Jones_Hook

I think it's probably a copyright thing with twitch

Killian_Jones_Hook

Never had the talk either

86exe

My mother was super open regarding sex ed stuff, like if i had any questions she would answer them. So it would happen often that she casually explained things like anatomy, sex ed or such things on the way home when i was a child. I feel like this being like casual conversations and not some awkward moment was pretty important. Cause it allowed me to talk about more private stuff with them when i was a teen without it being awkward.

Lektro

Never had the talk from family, just stuff from school pretty much.

Kieren

It's not all murder stuff, but if you like hearing about how horrible people think, I'd highly recommend the Behind the Bastards podcast.

Lisandro Johnston

Yeah it sets the tone for the show really well and doesn't spoil anything past the basic surface level beats of each character (Stuff you will have figured out within the first couple minutes of episode 1).

Mickey Muscalli

Also, totally hear you on your assessment of Dipper’s situation. The creator Alex Hirsch did bring up how important the bond is for the two over this summer because of what you said. That’s also kinda why I get/understand Dipper’s fixation on Wendy. It’s more than just a crush, she’s also someone he’s comfortable being around in Gravity Falls. Yeah, they both have Soos and Stan too, but it’s not quite the same. They haven’t brought it up yet, but think you could guess at this point these dynamics with others also kinda are similar to what plays out when they’re back home…

Robert

To answer your question I got the talk more from the school and a bit of home stuff, but everyone needs the talk.

Icy

Reminder in the episode Little Dipper, Mabel theorized there’s an invisible wizard in the closet. People heavily speculated that’s what kissed Grenda…there’s more support of that in supplemental materials too but nothing has confirmed that’s what Grenda kissed this episode as far as I’m aware

Robert

Enjoying the reaction but kinda hate that she doesn't let the intro Song play. I mean it's a few second long, catchy and knowing what's to come... it's always frustrating seeing her skip it.

Zarad

Candy saying "Kevin has the voice of a Robot" is wild... if you know, you know

nick

I never got the talk but i was kinda weird and for some reason as a kid i read a lot of books about anatomy and pregnancy i found on the bookshelf :D Also once i was home alone with my youngest sister i suddenly heard from the bathroom "omg theres blood everywhere!" and i was gonna have a panic attack thinking i had to explain periods to her. Turns out she had cut herself on something earlier in the day and hadnt noticed until now and ive never been so relieved to hear my sister was injured xD

Stargeryen

I sorta had the talk when I was 8 it was not actually awkward as it was mostly the bullet points and nothing else.

Petter Uppvall

We are almost at the good part guys if you know you know

end credits code, please don't post answer. I suggest that people not just google the code. This one is fun and you can do it yourself. A is 1 and Z is 26. (A1Z26 cipher) "2-21-20 23-8-15 19-20-15-12-5 20-8-5 3-1-16-5-18-19?"

Okay, that proves it: Alicia is a goddess! Every time I wish for a binge, Alicia delivers! My adoration for her is immeasurable, and my day is saved!
