And if she insists on paying "rent", make it lower than any apartment at the bottom of the reef. To be fair to Sharley, Luffy *usually* dismantles existing power structures ^^' For example, the Straw Hats 'technically' destroyed the Drum Kingdom (again) and ended the Alabasta civil war by being the best at violence. In fact, Luffy has helped wreck all three of the major World Government facilities. It's just that... those were all good things :)

2024-08-05 21:26:56 +0000 UTCHordy really isn't a proper threat because of his overreliance on the Power Pill's strengthening effect, in fact any threat he poses to the Straw Hats is because they don't take him more serious when he is on the pills. To make a long story short without going into any finer details of what happens; Oda is making a high stakes situation with the New Fishman Pirates, that is ultimately a joke for the sake of letting the Straw Hats flex how much they have grown over the time skip. Which is sadly Oda's M.O., with him struggling to maintain a consistency in believability when it comes to "high stake situations", that ultimately falls short a good number of times.

2024-08-05 04:27:35 +0000 UTCWhat I love with One Piece is that there are two equally valid reasons for Camie not living with Pappagu: 1) Camie decided that she wanted to prove she can make it on her own, so she got a job and pays rent while trying to make it big. 2) Both Camie and Pappagu are kinda stupid (this is canon), and fully committed to the "Pappagu is my pet" thing, with Camie having to do her best as the owner to live her life and provide for Pappagu, who honestly doesn't need it. But they're both that dumb that they do it anyway

2024-08-04 22:40:36 +0000 UTCI once read that an issue with a lot of mansions these days is that they were originally so big both because a lot of servants lived there, but also because the upper class were expected to pretty much always be housing some guests and visitors. Since this was before hotels and other accommodations for travelers were commonplace. This is where the term "Drawing Room", apparently, comes from. As it was originally called a withdrawing room. As in a room where the family and their important guests could withdraw to, to get some peace from the other guests in their home. It is also why they always have a bunch of guests hanging around in various Regency stories (As I believe the genre is called), like Pride and Prejudice. In modern times, where guests find other accommodations, and a small staff is easily able to handle even a large home with various electrical appliances, the purpose of the large mansion have been lost, but the size remains as a status symbol.
