There are rumours about this all the time and a 0.01 percent chance of it ever happening at least with the same showrunner. The only thing I see as a real possibility currently is a spin-off.

2024-08-11 17:15:19 +0000 UTCYes, there’s 4 more shorts that aired in between seasons 1 and 2. “Public Access TV Supercut” from Gravity Falls includes 2 shorts (so it’s the same length as this Soos Shorts video). There’s also two shorts labeled “Mabel’s Scrapbook” (I couldn’t find a video that combined the two Scrapbook shorts on YouTube, but both shorts can be found on YouTube pretty easily). At this point, don’t really mind if you watch them now or later. Like these shorts, there’s nothing big revealed in them (though you get lore of one of the character’s status after season 1), but nothing groundbreaking. They’re just wholesome fun.
