Larping at least is a physical activity with running and fighting, where as DnD is all the stuff you do in Larping just while sitting down, by defacto that makes it more nerdy. Edit: In my head i picture it as the sword version of paintball, and i dont think anyone considers that nerdy

But seriously my only objective is to make sure the players are having fun, even if they drive me nuts sometimes

Going back to watch the seri3s afterwards makes it all much clearer in hindsight, but I read many posts pointing out hints or foreshadowing and theorizing...kinda funny how crazy it sounded then, but turned out to be spot on 🤣🤣

Which can be something as simple as "Roll a single six sided dice, you want a 3 for something you are good at, 4 for something you are okay at, 5 for something you can do and 6 for something you are bad at". It can be incredibly easy to improvise and set up, and I think that is part of what I love about it as a hobby. It´s kinda like football in that way. As long as you have something to mark a goal and something to kick, then you can play. And fun fact. While it may not have a d38, the RPG Dungeon Crawl Classics do have, and use, a d7, d16, d14, d16, d24 and a d30! They disgust me on a primal level!

2024-08-28 11:14:35 +0000 UTCPeople play rpgs and dnd in different ways for different reasons. It can be all about actual roleplay, imagination, both, neither. Generally, don't yuck peoples yums. Larping isn't for everyone, but it can be great for the right people, with the right people.
