That might very well be. I went of memory and what the wiki said. But I think I misunderstood the gap between 2x19 with 2x20/21, as you said. Thank you for the correction.

He was always interested and chose that of his own volition after earning a research grant. Something he probably would have done in his dream school but with probably more success.

Yes he talks about his dream school, but look at what happened because he didn't get to go to his dream school, he discovered his passion, found Gravity Falls and studied the oddities and strangeness of the world, and even opened a portal to other worlds, sure he got mixed up with Bill Cipher, but can we really say Stan ruined his life when Ford absolutely loves his life as it turned out?

And with confirmation of Adventure Time, this is just the tip of the iceberg. Adventure Time is a whole other beast entirely. A lot of the great cartoons around that time were really pushing the limits.

Yes, stan spent 30 years trying to save Ford. But at the same time, you have to consider he ruined Ford's life. Saving ford was an act of redemption. But ford still has a right to not forgive stan. And as another comment said, how is it right for stan to be petty but wrong for ford to be?

Also have a pretty dang awesome Gamera anime series on Netflix, and Godzilla: Singularity Point which.. well... if nothing else be interesting to see how long till your brain melts trying to figure out WTF is going on. And going non-animated, Godzilla Minus One is freaking PHENOMINAL!
