2024-09-08 15:00:08 +0000 UTCFun fact: the feeling of suffocation is given by the inability to exhale CO2 or an excessive build-up of it in the body, not the lack of oxygen. From my understanding, our body doesn't have an "alarm" for the lack of oxygen. That's why if you remove the oxygen from a closed room (e.g. by lighting a fire) a person will feel light-headed and eventually pass out without realizing it. So if Caesar just removes the oxygen from the air, people shouldn't feel suffocating but simply pass out. It would make more sense if he removed all the air around them instead. Anyway, it's just an anime and it wouldn't be the first time that something doesn't make much sense :D.

(Despite the Anime trying to get some distance with that filler arc.) Even so It is surprising no one gets it.
