The story plots/arcs are moved around, as each little story (Suichi's parents going insane, the black haired girl, the kid with the spiral on his back, etc) were each their individual chapters that focused *only* on those stories before moving onto the next. The manga pacing has more build up to everything. But I understand why they had to compact it since the anime is only 4 episodes. But just from the first episode I think they already are doing a great job! Cant wait to see the rest ^^

2024-10-01 21:26:47 +0000 UTCAs a reader of the Manga (like 6+ times) I like the adaptation. Also I got an eery feeling during the opening credits just from the "music" and the swirly font used for the text. The next few parts will be even better ^^

2024-10-01 15:25:38 +0000 UTCI'm one of those that usually doesn't do well with horror - not because I can't handle it, but because I'm a wet blanket: "oh - it's a lead pipe on the ground - what could possibly happen with that...?" (15 minutes later) "oh - the lead pipe went through NPC #3 - no way..." This, on the other hand... holy hell. The spiral motif is creepy as hell, and while the father spiraling himself to death was kind of "whatever" for me, it was the perfect setup for what happened with the mother, who was so unnerved by it she well... we all saw what she did and that triggered me. Not sure what it is with horror anime that horror flicks just can't do, but this already goes up there with Made in Abyss and Higurashi for me.

2024-10-01 13:19:17 +0000 UTCI'm so happy you decided to react to Uzumaki. The anime did an incredible job adapting the manga. If you looking too get into horror anime I have 2 reccomendatins. Another and When they cry. Ones a supernatural horror and the other is insane slasher.
