I get that the citizens of Dressrosa were manipulated by Doflamingo in his entire scheme, but IMO over the last decade they've rung bells that can't be unrung. I get their opinion of the king and royal family in general, but the way they've treated Rebecca - someone who had absolutely nothing to do with this - as well as the way they've completely turned on one another is just unforgiveable. And while I'm not that far along yet, I can predict when this is all over and Doflamingo is exposed for being the mastermind behind everything, all the Dressrosians are going to get on their hands and knees and beg the king and Rebecca for forgiveness and they're going to acquiesce with tears in their eyes like nothing has happened, and the idea of it just makes me me feel icky enough to want to shower off these feelings. Just once I'd like someone like the king or Rebecca to be like "nope - eff off. You made your bed - sleep in it"... ESPECIALLY the way they've treated Rebecca for a decade.

It was originally the "Straw Hat Fan Club", but Boa found out and tried to commandeer it as a shrine to juar Luffy. She and Bart eventually found a compromise in their shared love for Luffy, and she joined as the co-chairman. Plus, it was awkward to continue calling it the "Straw Hat Fan Club" when Robin found them and joined, with Nami in tow, and when Zoro wandered out of a closed closet with Chopper on his shoulders, trying to figure out how they got off the ship, and signing the ledger without a second thought, then taking a slip and disappearing down a hallway. Two weeks later, the slip with the names of the remaining Straw Hats - sans Luffy - was found next to an empty sake barrel. Membership has been steadily growing throughout the East Blue and the Grand Line, although Luffy doesn't have the slightest idea of its existence or why he receives gifts of meat via mail coo. Notable members include royalty, such as Nefertari Vivi and her father, (former) enemies such as Sir Crocodile (although he'll never admit it) and Bellamy, and a trio of young rosettes from different walks of life: Koby, Shirahoshi, and Rebecca. Garp is aware of it, and laughs to himself whenever he thinks of it, much to Sengoku's consternation. *please note, none of this is canon, it's just a gag. Plus, Bart and Boa are a crack ship because of their shared fan-gasming.

Also, on a cool trivia note, now that you've seen multiple attacks from him: Doffy's moves all include the Japanese word for string, "ito", like his Devil Fruit. Overheat (Excessive String) = Overh"ito" Parasite (String) = Paras"ito" Oda loves his word play ๐

2024-10-05 17:33:29 +0000 UTCWhat's disturbing is how it changes the logic that brought people to the location, like the grandfather came because he lacked grandchildren to succeed him and the two mercenaries who worked together now believe they were loner's hence their lone wolf/maverick names (unless that's just a translation thing) What sort of world would it be if one of the straw hats were taken, Luffy in particular since he literally changed the world, how many millions would forget and how would they justify the events that took place, cause it doesn't erase their actions it just rewrites them, hence why some forgotten people have things left behind.

She said that she "hated" him after hearing that he deleted so many people from memory. Deleting "history" is unforgivable for a historian. And, indeed, after hearing the arguably much more violent backstory of the country, she just comments "how cunning". So I'd like to think it's not a coincidence.
