Also I like the adaptation direction. If you didn't know, in the manga all these incidents took place sequentially, one after another. But in the anime, it's ALL HAPPENING AT ONCE. I really love that, more chaos!

2024-10-13 22:55:59 +0000 UTCThe animation went downhill, however. I still like the story a lot. Like the horror is weird cosmic lovecraftian mixed with “everyday horror.” Like… THE WORLD IS ENDING! But it’s happening slowly until it spins out of control and it leaves us like a bystander going “oof that’s messed up. I hope that doesn’t happen to me!”

2024-10-07 09:54:39 +0000 UTCYeah. Each short story needs the room to breathe on its own. The manga is so much better for that. But as fat as adapting Uzumaki goes, the anime is doing a damn good job. Probably the best we could have hoped. Though it still falls short.

Or you choose to only do a small handful of them. It's only a mini-series. I'm quite alright with this, given that you should obviously read the source material either way.
