Besides, she did a binge run on the openings before even starting the series, and it was included there, too.

2024-10-21 04:45:41 +0000 UTCI just have to say, and this is the impression that I get every time I reach this point, that it's one thing to get pissed when a subordinate laughs at your voice, but if you're so thin skinned and insecure that you get triggered by the enemies that you're trying to kill laugh at your voice, then you deserve to be mocked. They don't have to care about you or respect you. That being said, while Doffy's crew isn't necessarily my favorite group of characters, the scene of the executives and Doffy getting pissed at the minion for laughing at Pica's voice is one of my favorite moments of the arc. It really highlights the difference between the inexperienced pirate groups of the early series, compared to the late series. Compare the care that Doffy's group has for each other against, say, the lack of care that Kuro and Krieg have for their crews - it's even true for Crocodile, who was ready to kill his entire organization at a moment's notice, as soon as they were no longer useful to him. Also, despite what some translators might say, it is "Elbaf" and not "Elbaph". "Elbaf" is literally "Fable" spelled backwards, which was the goal. "Elbaph" is just a misguided attempt at being fancy about it. I'm not sure if "Elbaf" is actually written out anywhere within the series, but the most accurate spellings are the ones that are actually within the media itself, especially the manga, but not necessarily in the subtitles or even the official dubs. For example, the official dub calls Zoro "Zolo", despite his bounty poster explicitly spelling out "Zoro". Similarly, despite the commonality of the mayor of Water 7 being called "Iceberg", his name is actually Icebarg, as seen on his locker during Franky's flashback. There are a number of instances of this, if you pay attention. When in doubt, Oda's bounty posters provide the true spellings of the names of the characters who have them.

And I love it every time someone in One Piece just responds to the absurdity of someone with laughter. Now Pica, but the same thing happened with Brook during the Iron Mask debacle.
