There is a 2d micro series about the clone wars 2003, kind of the streamlined version but I don’t consider it all canon. Whereas the one movie, the series (clone wars, bad batch) and then the mini chronicles (Tales of the Empire and of the Jedi) are all pretty canon, just keep in mind the clone wars series comes before the Tales it’s pretty much spoilers if watched out of order. Then there is Star Wars Rebels which I enjoyed a lot because it is after Episode 3 and before Rogue One, it fills in some interesting gaps.

The war itself is covered in the Clone Wars series, which you really, really ought to give a watch. The name of the song when Qui-Gon, Obi and Darth Maul was fighting was called "Duel of the Fates". The name basically meant the fate of Anakin. Whoever won that duel would determine the fate of the galaxy, as per George Lucas. Basically, had Qui-Gon lived he would have been the perfect father figure for Anakin and would have been able to raise him properly since he knew what Anakin's background was, saw it firsthand and had the maturity to deal with the issues he had. Obi-Wan doesn't have the maturity he had when he trained Luke. He had just been knighted, had never taught anyone and didn't know how to connect to Anakin in any way. His only way he knew how to teach was through criticism of what went wrong he hadn't yet figured out that carrot and stick are needed and thus didn't give praise for accomplishments and had only the most basic of information of Anakin's life as a slave and his mother and so kept putting it off because he saw it as unimportant.

When war begins there are thousands of neutral systems that were caught in the war simply because they were neutral and thriving on their own without a government to oversee them. The issue with Anakin here is that he has legendary talent. But his powers are advancing faster than his maturity. He feels disrespected by the Jedi and the Chancellor gives him the reinforcement he's looking for. It also doesn't help that Obi is a young Jedi himself (still just a Knight and not a Master in this film) and does not fully have the maturity himself to mentor Anakin in this time.

Fun fact: Dooku in his prime is widely considered to be one of the best duelists of this time beaten only by Yoda and Sidious, both being more powerful force wielders. His lightsaber is actually made more for dueling than fighting enemies with blasters. Also, Windu's Lightsaber is purple cuz Sam said he wanted a purple one. That's the whole reason.

I think a big part of Anakin and Obi-wan's awkward relationship is just how young and inexperienced Obi-wan is. Dude basically got a battlefield promotion and then went straight into teaching, instead of spending time as just a Jedi Knight for a while. So Obi-wan's going to be juggling learning how to be a knight (and in charge for the first time) and how to be a teacher at the same time.

funny enough, the first release of the phantom menace in theaters, they used a puppet yoda. Only later on in the more finished re-release did george lucase replace the puppet with a cgi yoda. And mace windu is the only jedi in the franchise to have a purple lightsaber because Samuel L. Jackson asked george lucas for one and then he got it.

There are different Canon series, this is the order: - a short 2d clone wars that i think they summed up in one movie - a 3d clonewars movie about a padawan who then open u the 3d series - 3d series "clonewars" (i think is 7 seasons and you might want to find a guide of the order of episodes since they kinda do a mix uo of timelines and plotlines - then it came the episode 3 Then it came up the series 'Rebels' which is amazing, slow start but boost like crazy with the lore and continuity with clone wars -Then it fits to watch 'Rogue One' since starts at basically the end of rogue one Then there's "The Bad Batch" Then they released post episode 6 series - The mandalorian s1 -the book of bobba fett -the mandalorian s2 -Ahsoka (a.k.a. Quick correction about the Separatists; Dooku is the only man in their council who doesn’t represent or directly work for a major intergalactic megacorporation, such as the Trade Federation(space Amazon), the Banking Clan(literally just a banking monopoly), the Techno Union(space Lockheed Martin), etc. The Old Republic isn’t much better, but the Separatists are literally just a bunch of rich corpos who decided that democracy is cringe and that they should own and run everything themselves using funny Baktoid Industries-brand battle droids to enforce their will.

Ok.... here's a simplified version of the plot since you guys seemed to have difficulty understanding it. In the 10 years since the events of The Phantom Menace... a lot Star System in the Mid and Outer Rims of the Galaxy have decided to leave the Republic altogether since they've come to the conclusion that the Republic is not only inefficient but also incredibly corrupt (and they have many valid reasons to think this way). But the important part about this is that a bunch of Corporations and private organizations (such as the Trade Federation) have banded together and convinced all these renegade Star Systems to join them and form the "Separatist Movement" or CIS for short (Confederacy of Indepent Systems). The Leaders of those Corporations are all those characters you saw having a meeting with Count Dooku. And speaking of Count Dooku.... he was the one who initially started the Separatist Movement and that's why all these Corporation leaders decided to name him the Main Figurehead of the Confederacy. He is a former Jedi Master who decided to leave the order after witnessing how truly corrupt the Republic is, the problem is that... as you saw... he also fell to the Dark Side and was basically manipulated and used by Palpatine as a Pawn (And also... Dooku's Sith name is Darth Tyranus). On the other side of things..... Jedi Master Syfo-Diaz (who was most likely also manipulated by Palpatine) went to Kamino almost ten years ago and ordered the creation of a clone army to fight for the Republic since the Republic itself doesn't have a standing army of it's own, all of this obviously without knowing that this was part of the Plan of the Dark Lord of the Sith himself. And now.... you have Sith Master (Palpatine) being the Leader of the Republic, and his accomplice Sith Apprentice (Count Dooku) being the Leader of the Separatist, both secretly working together to create the perfect scenario for this War between Republic and Confederacy to happen... All this for the Grand Design, the Design that will allow the Sith to Rule the Galaxy once and for all.

So to answer some of your questions about the Time-line..... Episode 1: The Phantom Menace takes place in the year 32 BBY, meaning that it's around 32 years before Episode 4: A New Hope. Anakin was 8 years old here. Episode 2: Attack of the Clones is ten years after the previous movie, which means it takes place in the year 22 BBY. Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith is merely 3 years after Attack of the Clones... so that makes it the year 19 BBY. The Clone Wars that were mentioned in A New Hope by Obi-Wan happened (in it's majority) in those 3 years between episode 2 and 3....... and theres 2 whole animated shows that depict what happened in that conflict.... The first one is a 2D animated series created by Gendy Tartakovski, the creator of other iconic shows such as Dexter's Laboratory and Samurai Jack. This first series was released before Revenge of the Sith even came out. Unfortunately Tartakovski's Clone Wars series was decanonized after Disney bought Lucasfilm... so it's not mandatory for you to watch it. The second series is The Clone Wars, created by Dave Filoni, this was a 3D animated show released in 2008, and fortunately for all of us this one wasn't decanonized like the 2D one. This one is a mandatory watch, it is in my personal opinion.... the single BEST piece of Star Wars media in the whole franchise.

To clarify the timeline while keeping spoilers to a minimum, the fan and official chronology uses years BBY (Before The Battle Of Yavin) and ABY (After The Battle Of Yavin) to denote how long before or after the original Star Wars story these other films and shows take place. So, Episode IV: A New Hope is "0 ABY". Phantom Menace took place in 32 BBY, 32 years before the first film. This movie, Attack Of The Clones, takes place ten years later in 22 BBY (Anakin is I9 or 20 in this movie and was 9 or 10 in Episode 1, I THINK) , and Revenge Of The Sith takes place in 19 BBY. All the Clone Wars stuff is crammed into that 3 year period between this movie in 22 BBY and Revenge Of The Sith in 19 BBY. It's a REALLY busy 3 years in the galaxy.

George himself has admitted he's not the best at dialogue or at working to get good performances out of actors. And I don't say that to knock his genius as a director in other areas, to be clear. But I think he's been at his best when he has good collatorators or members on his team who can push back on his excesses and offer their strengths to complement the areas where he's weak.

Since you are reacting to all the Star Wars stuff, you should also check out the trailers for Star Wars: The Old Republic. It's the MMO game. I wouldn't necessarily recommend the game, but the trailers are peak. You can watch them anytime after episode 3. They take place thousands of years before episodes 1-6.

Honestly out of the prequels Revenge of the Sith has to be my favorite But man least we got the clone wars cartoons out of it (Both 2003 and 2008 are goated shows even if 2003 isn't canon anymore)

His dialogue is extremely stilted and unnatural and it shows. Every character sounds the same because of it. These are great actors whose performances could be so much better if the lines they were given didn't sound ridiculous

I really hope you watch the Clone Wars. It shows more of Anakin’s Jedi side. The actor in the movies really tried hard to show the descent to the dark side, but Anakin really was a great Jedi and for the most was also loyal to the order.

by "made to counter them" you mean they had lightsaber proof/resistant armor, flame throwers, and slug throwers. by slug throwers i mean normal bullets. lightsabers can't deflect them and the jedi who try get covered in molten slag. please add to the list the mandos are the best part of star wars.

It's fun to watch the reactions but I despise the prequels. Too much CGI, horrible acting, and characters that are completely hate-worthy (Jar Jar).

I liked the movies back then actually like them more now but Sith was pretty much my favorite when it came out then Empire and Return are tied then probably this and Menace oh and I enjoyed Rogue One

After EP 3 you can kind of jump to whatever interests you, almost every game, series, or movie is its own stand alone story though some do expect you to have seen something before it's usually not necessary.

While this is better than the Phantom Menace, it is not as good as the originals so far.

Little clarification: Clone Troopers ARE NOT Imperial Stormtroopers, that is a common misconception. Clone Troopers are clones of Jango Fett, Stormtroopers are regular human citizens of the Galaxy who were recruited into the Empire.
