2024-10-28 02:49:27 +0000 UTCJust for the record, Toei ABSOLUTELY stretched out that whole sniping scene. The manga chapter was like 1/2 to 2/3 of Usopp making that shot. Toei added the part about him "failing" the shot, as well as just some general padding of other stuff (the usual holding on scenes, stretching out actions, etc). As usual, the stuff is all there, but Toei stretched what was maybe half an episode into a whole one.

Not just Usopp making that crazy shot, or him unlocking Observation Haki, but when he says he doesn’t care if Luffy never knows what he did. Usopp the Liar, the guy who just loves to embellish his stories to anyone willing to listen, saved the future King of the Pirates by doing something legitimately amazing, and he *doesn’t mind* if no one else ever knows. Just knowing that Luffy can continue on is enough for him.

2024-10-27 11:57:10 +0000 UTCAbout Elbaf/Elbaph. One Piece has many names of people and places that have been translated badly or inconsistently. What I choose to call Elbaf is one of them. In the raw manga it's called "エルバフ" - (Erubafu), so the translation can really be either or. I chose Elbaf since it's 'fable' backwards and Elbaf is painted as a very fantastical location, so it fits. PS: Don't take the translated manga as gospel because Zoro is called Zolo there. Yeah. I know why but I refuse.
