one thing to keep in mind is the black coloring of the skin for Haki is actually not there, so when Doffy see Fourth Gear and is laughing at how stupid it is, all he is seeing is Luffy swelling up to a giant ball and doing a silly Kabuki impression

I'm surprised more people don't make the connection right away, honestly! To me, Kamiya has a very distinct nasal element to his voice that makes him instantly recognizable. I hear one of his characters talk and I'm instantly like "Izaya? That you?" Though, Durarara has been one of my favorite anime since I was 14 (I'm 28 now) so that may also be part of why I can't clock him so fast lol.
