The Mantisian dude got bad RNG having evolved on a water world w/ hyperoxygenated water, so he still needs air to breathe, but Earth doesn't have hyperoxygenated water naturally, so he's fucked even tho he's busted af underwater as an aquatic lifeform

Nagatoro not knowing how to show affection towards a crush makes a whole lot more sense when we see how her older sister shows her affection at home in season 2.

Typically I do believe the highschool delinquent is a sort of archetype derived from gangs but I cannot claim to be very knowledgeable.

Well this episode delivered for you 😂🤣 me tho, I was freaking out about them being back in school naked during the day time. They where in a different dimension, people didn't notice that they were gone and than they pop up out of nowhere naked in the hallway. Plus it was still day time. The aliens putting them in different dimensions when they show up kind of helps me figure out why people don't notice alien abductions in this world. There one second gone the next without even being noticed.

Momo talks like a gangster or Yankee, so in some ways she talks kind of like the Japanese equivalent to Hood. There is no REAL approximation but I think it conveyed the tone of her personality well.
