2025-03-05 09:56:21 +0000 UTCThe main reason Luffy went easy on Fuji is because he didn't have a reason to fight him. Fujitora had not done anything to hurt Luffy's friends. And Luffy could tell he wasn't fighting sincerely either. Luffy doesn't try to hurt just anyone. He doesn't care if you're a Warlord, Admiral or Yonko. If he doesn't know for sure that you're personally a danger to his friends, he has no reason to seriously try to stop you. If you hurt his friends, that's when the gloves come off.

Somehow, I don't think he would have allowed the civilians to have stopped him in the way that they stopped Fujitora. He might have ended up with a higher kill count than Doffy had during the present timeline of the arc.

Besides that, between Gear 4, "God Usopp", Sabo coming back, and the "I wish I hadn't blinded myself" scene, Dressrosa is an arc I consider up there with Enies Lobby as a top-tier arc.
