It's when you get certain types of egos and money involved that they more often than not turn into nightmare scenarios. This is coming from a person who despises the gentrification and modern suburbia of current America. If it was just "hey keep your stuff tidy" i don't think there'd be as big of an issue. The problem comes whenever there's too many rules in place. In general people hate being told what to do but if it was reasonable they'd begrudgingly do it but most HOA's aren't reasonable.

They learned to love it after a while tho lol my dad (who is one of those fake tough guy manly man types) actually started learning the songs and singing along to them with me like the song Gary Come Home or his favorite, the Loop De Loop song. It truly was such an amazing show to grow up with. It was definitely made for intensely ADHD kids tho, that's for sure! Lol

As for how far to go, I do agree that SpongeBob is at it's best in those first three or four seasons and the movie, but there's still some pretty good stuff that came after that... just nowhere near as good.

And there were still some amazing episodes in there too that are still iconic to this day. I stopped watching Spongebob around season 7 so I can't really remember much else but seasons 4&5 were okay in my book!

You're gonna hear a lot of people say to only watch the first 3 seasons and the movie, but I say as always form your own opinions and keep going as long as you'd like to. Admittedly there are some reasons for the creative direction to change after the first movie, and so it takes them a while to get back on their feet and find out their renewed identity as a show, so seasons 4&5 are rough and have some of what the fanbase consider the worst episodes in the series, but it's really nothing too bad, the biggest sins maybe being that they can be a little boring and the characters get pretty 'Flanderized' (meaning they take one aspect of the character, ramp it up to 11 and make that be the only thing that identifies that character) plus they do a little gross-out/shock imagery here and there that can be offputting. But it does get better after that, even if I can agree as a whole it never reaches the quality of the initial run of seasons 1-3 and the movie (though the 2nd movie is just as good as the first! Like so good it's shocking!), and it tends to go through the ups and downs that any long running episodic television show ends up suffering through, but it's still worth checking out I feel. Hell, there are even some "modern" Spongebob episodes that are agreed by the majority of fans to be some of the best in the series, up there with the likes of the greats of the first 3 seasons, so don't be afraid to take this trip and see for yourself why Spongebob is still so beloved!~

And let me tell you, the anxiety we would get when we would see literal busses of people pull up was never ending. Usually it was school function stuff for sports teams. But that meant a solid 100+ people to cook for all at once on top of the usual customer base.
