Here's the first major update on the glamor hole update. I spent awhile doing a lot of thinking, posing, planning, trying to write some dialogue, working on adding some pizazz to the environment. I made a very rough, very bare-bones storyboard animatic thing of the animation. It's so place-holder-y I've already changed a line (the dragon now says "I'm ready for my close up, small fry~" instead of the previous line.
I animated the part where the dragon pulls of the toy to proudly show his butt. I also recorded a tiny bit of VA and animated it all, but I might redo it.
But back to the animatic, I wanted to try a more planned approach to this animation. Up to this point, I have a rough idea of what the animation will be like and just animate away, but this one is a bit trickier because there will be more talking, different cameras and the environment is interacted with a fair amount, with two characters. So there's a lot more to consider!
(ALSO please keep in mind the animatic thing is very ugly, very minimal, the music is from Deus Ex, it's all not final at all)
For example, I altered the dragon's stall quite a bit in terms of wall and object placement. This is because I was really unsure of how the dragon will be positioned while being used by the triceratops! I settled on him laying across the toilet, with his hands on a horizontal grab bar by the toilet.

And in order to get one shot I really want to do (where, after the triceratops' finishes inside the dragon, he stands up on the toilet so the cam can get a really good look at it, then some j[izz] from his tailhole gets on the cam)

This is a very rough animation, but it does indeed seem very possible to do this!
I really thought long and hard about changing a lot of stuff between this and the original animation, but I felt as though this was going to keep the animation from being the best it can be. So the stall is much smaller now, the toilet is in a different position, the taped hole is in a different position (and smaller), that sort of stuff.
The tape on the wall is quite different. I think I probably talked about the tape, but it's a lot more detailed now, with more geometry and procedural textures:

Even if I did talk about this tape before, I don't care because I think it turned out really well! :p All procedural too (using voronoi for the squars and a stretchy noise texture and vertex color map for the crinkling/folds)
As you can see from the animatic/storyboard/whatever it is, we'll be seeing the other side of the stall a lot. So I tried to make it look nice:

The cooler is there because I wanted this to be like, a nice spot. I like to think the dragon and the camera imp made and taped the hole, put the grab bars by the hole and also brought a cooler with nice cold beverages inside. Who wouldn't want a cola or a Sprite-like can of soda to wet your whistle with, before/while/after a glamor hole session?
The cooler I had to model myself... I don't mind modeling environment things, but I'd rather not have to spend my time doing it myself since it's not really the focus of these projects (but I do want to have decent looking environments). Now, I don't know why, but there's no free or paid models of a cooler on Blendswap or the Blender Market. I wouldn't have minded shelling out $5 or so for a simple cooler model to save me some time, but I couldn't find any. I just Googled coolers and modeled one that looked interesting and easy enough to model:

The soda can models are from something I was working on awhile ago, ported over to Blender 2.9 from earlier Blender (when I was using Blender Internal and not the Eevee renderer). The labels looked purposefully bad because the project had a purposefully old-school-ish look to it, but they work well enough for this!

There's really a lot to talk about this update because I've done a bunch of different stuff... I explored putting some ads in the bathroom as a suggestion from a friend. One idea I had was maybe an ad for eggs, from a classy store called "The e"

But right after this, I thought... what if there was an ad for some [d]1ck pills!?

I had already modeled a bottle of supplements, and I just whipped up a logo quickly... Grevy is reference to Grevy's zebra being productive, according to wikipedia:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gr%C3%A9vy%27s_zebra#Reproduction
AND finally, the last thing to mention, another idea I've had bouncing around in my head is "what other underlings might the dragon have???" because I imagine him having several fellows like the camera imp... this was a quick sketch of another underling:

I wanted to design a body that would be pleasurable to swallow or insert. So, he has some round rings about him, some softer head/neck ridges, sphere-like joints, a thick ringy tail... the camera imp would taste like a flaming hot cheeto, the ring-y one would taste like a life saver gummy or something. He would also probably be the one who's recording the triceratops on the otherside.
But will I model this character for this? Probably not. Maybe. But not likely... But who knows.
Actually, the last thing I wanted to mention- I probably have a voice actor lined up for the part of the triceratops, but he won't be able to record anything until Tuesday next week. I don't want to begin serious animation on this project because the voice acting, timing and everything are really important... so in the mean time, I'll be doing the parts for the dragon.
So that's about it I think!
