2022-08-30 19:01:11 +0000 UTCThis episode starts to show off the studio's excellent use of cell shaded 3d versions of their characters in situations where high frame count motion can be prioritized over detail and expression. For example when Nezuko is dodging the Temari. This allows them to save a lot of animation budget for when they really need it. IMHO this is a signature of the series animation, swapping between multiple animation tools and techniques depending on the context and the need in ways that are truly masterful.
