⭐ Fairy Tail Episode 30 & 31- Watch Along & Analysis

Haha we knew the cliffhanger would kill you! You're really gonna like the next episode. Yeah, Juvia's stalker tendencies are overplayed in the anime a little bit. She wasn't in these chapters of the manga at all. It's just for comedic purposes. I love the comparison to Where's Waldo, that's essentially what they're doing there :P but I think it's also just cluing us in that she's going to start being a part of the story.

Ye so the Juvia thing is a little weird, its anime so I just accept it (like I just accept Harems nd stuff) but there is a real point to be made that if it was a dude following say Lucy it'd be even more creepy....but cause its tsundere (and will become yandere in time) in anime you just roll with it. Also it'll get less stalker and more "obsessive crush on clueless man" shortly so creepyness factor isn't going to be a constant. Also Erza bathing in her armor isn't just a once off joke - that's all I'll say. I'll say more about this arc after tomorrows episode :) Though to comment on your point of "anime that are too dramatic" and they don't feel real I think this is very similar to the design problems in open world RPG games. You either have a Ubisoft world were its open world and large but there's nothing to do in it its just vast open land you have to cross for the next town/quest etc. It's "realistic" but its boring for a player. Then you have the Skyrim problem at the opposite end, where you trip over tombs and quests every 5 seconds and you start to wonder how the entire world functioned before you got there cause of the 10 people in this town 4 of them need me to do something!? Is it more fun for the player, sure. But it always broke my immersion. I feel drama in shows is quite similar, its easy to go to far and break suspension for your audience, or also to write yourself into a powerscale scenario where this boss is equal to last boss +1 and you don't fear him because you're numb to the scale. Its an important balancing act in all fiction, to make the reader/player interested and essential to the plot but going for essential to the entire world is a bit too far
