The orginal Dragonball does not have this problem (I believe Funimation Dragonball dub was done after original Funimation/Ocean DBZ). DBZKai much closer to the source. material taking few liberties here and there

2020-06-14 18:46:27 +0000 UTCDragon ball z was soooooo annoying to get through because it took 10 episodes to get through what should have been 1 or maybe 2 episodes...Naruto is more guilty of this practice which is why I skip 4 reactions and just watch every 5th and miss nothing...so I would recommend DBZK as well

Unfortunately it takes out all of the iconic music and memorable lines that made the show blow up in the first place. I'm talking about the English dubbed version. Kai might be better to sit through, but it'll feel like cereal without milk.
