I have just realized the whole Alicization and war of the underworld arc is considered season 3 (war of the underworld basically part 2 of Alicization) 47 episodes total. War of the Underworld is not on Netflix at the moment and part 2 of war of the underworld has yet to be released in English Dub. But yeah all 47 episodes are considered season fyi

As great as you think the animation is for this season, The next 2 seasons get even better. I advise that if you do read the light novels don't go past where you are in the Anime. Don't spoil yourself, read the novels after. You get more info reading but getting to see the visuals first really just enhances what you feel when you get to read it.

The Alicization arc are light novels 9-18

This season and the next 2 (war of the underworld was split into 2) are basically 1 big arc

On the subject of the light novels, they vary a bit in length, but there are some pictures, but not a LOT. Like say maybe half a dozen per book. I think they vary in length from about 200 pages to about 400 pages. Books 1-2 are part one of SAO, Books 3-4 are the Fairy Dance arc. Its USUALLY like that. I have not read the Alicization Arc books though so i am not sure how they relate, but i would assume it would continue. Pronunciation Guide: Axiom Church, Ax-ee-um. There is much i could say about your theories, but honestly it would be better for you to keep them all as they are, and let them develop as the season goes on.
