And then itachi is considered tier 1 since he is way stronger than orochimaru

To give a point of reference for their respective skill levels, think of Sarutobi as a tier one fighter while an average person is a tier seven. Kabuto, Shizune(the assistant), Kakashi and Guy are all about tier three while Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Orochimaru(with hands) are all about tier two.

You forgot the comment again… Anyway, I think support characters are severely underrated. My favorite example being Kagome from Inuyasha who provides emotional, combat, and utility support while having a compelling arc that doesn’t revolve around fighting. Two mentalities that I really don’t like are: the idea that you have to permanently kill off characters for your story to be taken seriously and the idea that a character is only interesting if they know how to fight. (I’ll talk about the former some other time). To illustrate my opinion on the latter I will tell you about an unspeakably unpopular opinion I have: I think Sakura is a more interesting character than Katara. (To clarify I actually think Katara is the better written character, I just prefer Sakura). To me Katara is a fighter who picked up support abilities out of convenience while Sakura has always had a support mentality she just has difficulty applying it to the battlefield. To me personally that is a more interesting story. This is just my opinion but I hope it helps get across my point.

4 episodes of Naruto a week would be great, you could really cover some ground at that pace. But at the end of every week your still going to be saying the same thing “That’s where they left it, what the hell?!?” Tsunade’s gambling is so much more than an addiction, as Jiraya says she has no luck or skill at it but as soon as she started winning she started getting worried. All her life Tsunade has been a degenerate gambler but at some point she realized that as long as she was losing everything would be ok, so she became addicted to losing as a means to avoid any more heartache.
