Wizards that can't use their magic here and don't feel any ill effects. Maybe that means that they still have magic and just don't have the same access to it that they used to? Maybe they need a little help to access it? Think back to Mystegen and Lucy's interaction. Also if the creep can extract magic from them that must mean... You are going to meet the Exceed Queen soon. You may be surprised who she is. In terms of how Erza and Grey came to the rescue think about the one dragon slayer we have not been following for the last couple of episodes. What was the last thing we saw him do? We finally get some fights that are on more equal terms now. Get ready for some action packed episodes.

Your questions about the exceeds, we don't know. Happy is 6 during this arc, but we don't know what that would be in human years. They could potentially live a really long time based on what his dad said, but we're also told at one point that exceeds sense time differently than humans do. The only new thing we've learned so far in the sequel about the exceeds is probably a spoiler, so I won't say anything. Don't think too hard about Ichiya/Nichiya. Like I said, troll character :P Your reaction to episode 59 was pretty epic. Throwing your notebook down over all the Jerza scenes was so fun to watch.

I think the reason why Gajeel was able to use magic in Edolas was because Mystogan gave him some type of pill that allowed him to use his magic there; although I’m not sure if the pill allows him to use his magic limitlessly or if it’s just temporary.

Happy is six. And yes Exceed live for a long time. That is the extent of my knowledge on these subjects.

Your most "change of heart" moment is definitely Jellal, don't believe me? Go back and watch episode 39, nearly needed a profanity filter for that one XD You were saying "You don't f*** with someone's emotions like that!" or some variation for about 10 episodes after that :P As for the sequel it is still ongoing in manga and an anime adaptation hasn't been announced yet to the best of my knowledge but I think it is very damn likely. Also its certainly a sequel/season not just a new Arc based on how many chapters so far and what still needs to be covered in it. I don't want to say much more I'm terrible for accidentally mentioning things that people consider spoilers. Edit: Also Gray wasn't using magic at the end. Edolas just wasn't prepared for how hot he is so the incredible speed he stripped caught it off guard and caused an explosion
