⭐Fairy Tail Episodes 96 & 97: Watch Along & Analysis

Here we go. The promotion exam is about to begin. Tenroe Island arc here we come. Not gonna lie, very excited for this. The first half of this arc is all about the exam. Natsu is going up against some tough opponents, not to mention Lucy and Kana and all the others. The exam is a true test of their skills and coming up we are going to see just how far Natsu has come since we met him at the start of the series. Also, I told you ships were going to be unexpected in this. Keep watching and paying attention to see them bloom. Now, something to worry you, something to worry you. Oh I know. Would you believe that the mystery man we saw that seems to have a rather "killer" magic is not the focus of this arc? At least, not the main focus. I did say the test was only half the arc right? Any guesses to who he is yet? Still a few weeks away from the reveal. Good luck.

He's heeeere! (2nd best boy, right behind Natsu for me) any speculations on what you think his power was? I like to think that Mystogan joined Fairy Tail because Makarov was the master and he could tell that he was Earthland's version of his father. (I like that Lion King 2 reference, that song is amazing) Those aren't new characters, I don't know why the anime put such a weird focus on them these episodes. (although the purple-haired girl Kinana is new and you should remember her for later. she's not super important, but cool side story) Hmmmm, you could be onto something with Cana's motivations..... but that's all I'll say for now on that. The new opening actually comes on episode 99. Funimation is the one creating the "seasons," I don't think they're broken up like that in Japan. You seem to be catching onto the ships. I remember you said something about Gajeel and Levy potentially being cute from their interaction in the Battle of Fairy Tail arc, and I tried really hard not to say anything back then (aren't you proud of me :P). You did seem to miss the subverted trope because it was so subtly done, so I think episode 117 will make it obvious what I'm talking about (so you must wait longer, muahaha) (I think I'm starting to sound a little like Graystar in this comment). I don't know where most people watch the ovas, but I found a youtube channel with all of them on there (it's missing the 8th one, but you can't watch that one for a while anyway). The channel is Jhe Ma. You're only safe to watch the first three (the ones that say 2014 in the title aren't safe to watch yet). The fanservice is turned up in the ovas (the manga is an ecchi, after all), just thought I'd let you know since the anime hasn't shown too much of that side of Fairy Tail yet.
