I'd honestly say she shouldn't watch the next OP until episode 122. That's when... things really go down.

I agree that the openings can sometimes spoil things and it will have less of an impact later. Not all of the Fairy Tail OPs do this though. For now maybe get advice on which ones to watch right away and which to skip until a certain episode? For example the next OP which won't start for a while should not be watched until episode 118 and you shouldn't read the title of episode 117. The OP after this for the new arc is perfectly fine watching at the start.

Big fight. Terrifying enemy. Overwhelming power. And that is just Gildarts. The opening act of this arc. Are you ready Kat?
What's up Cuz, enjoy the new OP? You finally got a view on all the characters, conflicts and general crap that is about to go down. On that note, you mentioned how the OP focused on Cana and Gildarts. I wonder why? Remember what Cana said to Lucy right before she told her something that chocked her and was silenced to the anime viewers? Might give you a clue.
The next episode will give you a lot of laughs and has some amazingly funny/shocking moments. The exam is still in full swing and we get to see how some of the other teams are doing. We also get to see some more of Mest...he's awesome. That is all. But don't let all that fool you. It may have started in joy, but it ends in disaster.
And finally, Episode 101. If you don't want to be spoiled (even slightly) don't watch the title. It isn't a name but if you have been paying attention it will let you in on who our mystery man is. You will learn who he is easily enough here anyway so just watch and prepare. This is where the exam takes a turn and we see the entrance of both our big bad, and the enemy of this arc.......also some cute Gajevy moments but the bad guys are still here.
On a final note:

Soooo content blast next time?! (all fingers and toes crossed!)
I wonder why they change Lucy's role in some fights in the anime (not all, just a couple). Aquarius actually let out a massive attack and filled up that whole cave in the manga and they completely took it out of the anime. Maybe they thought Cana needed to take the bigger role in the fight? Or maybe they just really wanted to make a wall of girls in swimsuits (I'm leaning towards that). But since you're watching the dub, you may have missed the joke going on between Cana and Aquarius. In japanese, the same actress voices both of those characters, so Lucy saying 'Whoa, they're really alike' is referencing that.
I think the fanservice in Fairy Tail is hilarious, so I'm glad you appreciate the comedic aspect of fanservice (and yes, Gray was completely naked on the boat).
This was such a big moment for Natsu's growth. He really develops such a kind heart and learns to start empathizing with people after this when before, he was probably a little too blunt with people and didn't understand why they didn't think more like him (I love him so much in case you couldn't tell). He's still a lovable goofball, but an undercurrent of maturity is definitely starting to grow now.
And now you will find out... (dun dun dun)
(no, no, mustn't. morph. into. graystar... mustn't..mor...)
