⭐ Dragon Ball Episodes 112-113 - Watch Along & Analysis

But rock music is not a good fit for Dragon Ball. It's a story that people followed since they were kids, not an AMV fight complilation. You're supposed to care about these characters, and the music is essential for that. You need the original music.

with all the infinity stones i say thanos of the stomes work the same in dragon ball world. Without the stones roshi even could full powet kill thanos. Cause of roshis feat if blowing up the moon. Thanos never had any kind of feat like that till he got all the stones. Also depends if dragon balls are around as well if they are some one can just wish for thanos to be a baby amd then just raise him be good and hopfully he lost his memories. if that works thenn even bulma can beat thanos ith the dragon balls.

I think you're talking about the canceled "Level" sets. Man those things looked beautiful.

In response to R.BGames37 comment, my recommendation is to use the DBZ blu ray season sets that came out back in 2013. They have the English dubbed VAs and the falconer scores that the majority of English speaking kids grew up with. It also has the original Japanese score also so if it is over ruled she can set it that way. These sets are not as terrible visually as the orange bricks, which are considered the poor man's DBZ set cos of how cheap they are, but still contain all the best audio options for the actual show. The OP and endings are not original to the TV release as far as I'm aware though so she will need to look these up. Unfortunately even though DBZ has been released at least 8 times in N.A. for home video it has not yet had the amazing release we all deserve. We got close to a great remastered release in 2011 but it was cancelled after 36 episodes and never renewed. There are rumours of a new release in the works by Toei and funimation that is doing it frame by frame which is why it is taking so long but the DBZ community has been burned by funimation for years concerning it's so called remastered releases so we can only be cautiously optimistic about it. My final word is that the blu ray 2013 season sets are the best option for her as she will not see the horrible video quality of the orange bricks and will also have the audio options to go forward with. I can explain some of the releases pros and cons further if people here or Kat want to know.

I think you should watch DBZ with the original Japanese music (from Kikuchi) as it was intended. The music you currently hear in DB is also by Kikuchi, it fits the anime perfectly.

Hey Graystar, which version is the DBZ Extended version, and do you Recon Kat Watching that.. (291 instead of 276 Episodes, right?)

R.BGames37

Well I warned you. I prepared you for the dark times to come and gave you all the knowledge I could without spoiling ya to get you ready for the crapstorm that was coming, but did you listen? Kat: Nooooooo. Graystar would never tell me the truth and prepare me for it. He's the worrying mod. Well, if you are going to characterize me, guess I'll just have to play my part hehe. The Dragon has lore behind it. You have heard what some people in the world believe was the origin of the Dragon and the Dragon balls already but you will learn more about it as the series progresses. So do not worry about the fact that the series is called Dragonball but we don't have dragonballs anymore. You have that to look forward to....We just can't wish anyone back to life anymore that has been killed. Oh well. Now, back to being the Graystar you have deemed me to be. Piccolo is on the Kings car hood. Do I hear Scar (Lion King) uttering those famous words: "Long Live the King"... (The following is my opinion and not intended for others to rely on...but I can't help it if other people's opinions are wrong hehe) If you want my opinion on DBZ and all its scores and such VS Kai and all of its scores, I still think the Falconer DBZ is the best version. My reasons are simple. Yes the music does have some areas that maybe slightly misplaced but so does any series, and it is really up to the viewer if that is the case anyway. The creators also went through this dub and fixed a lot of areas that were very bad in previous dubs and brought back parts or entire episodes that had been cut due to censorship previously. In my opinion it has way more on-piont moments than bad ones. Also it was an anime that was shown in the 90's, and as a genuine 90's child, I can tell you that we loved the Rock guitar themes and the style that Bruce gave the series. Of course this doesn't take away from the story at all. While there is filler in it, some of the filler is honestly worth watching, while the other parts we can direct you around. The main story is the best part of the series and this is fully explored in the original DBZ where as Kai does focus on getting to each fight quickly and showing that off more. One thing I do know (showing my age here) is that in the original English Dub had a different score and set of VA's for the first 2 arcs before going on hiatus for a few years due to them running out of money. (This was the early days of Funimation.) It then switched to the VA's that we are all more familiar with and continued from where it left off with Bruce falconer doing the score. After it finished the series, Funimation went back and redubbed the earlier seasons as well to have the whole series the same. While I did grow up with the Ocean dub originally I quickly grew very fond of the new VA's and score due to how good they were at portraying the characters and how amazing the music was to the series. If you want to see the original Ocean dub I suggest doing this outside of the main reactions as they actually censor quite a bit and also reduce the number of episodes due to these cuts. The full Falconer funimation version of DBZ can be found on what is now known as the Orange Bricks, a series of 9 DVD sets that they label as 9 seasons, but don't rely on that as DBZ is based more on arcs like Dragonball.

The Kamehameha Wave.. is the most iconic attack in the whole DB universe. First known by Master Roshi, Then Goku picks it up from him (Blasting Ox-Kings Castle).. after that Krillin and Yamcha even uses it... And we as DB fans stood on the School playground charging up our KI.. do the handmotions and screaming KaMeHaMeHAAAAA.. Want to tell you my favo character.. but you have not met that person yet (DBZ related).

R.BGames37

If there is a chance, to watch DBZ in its glory.. Skip Kai and go for The Original DBZ. (Or the Extended Edition) You will learn more about characters.. DBZ Kai focus more on the fights then anything els.

So who would win in a fight to the death: King Piccolo at full strength or Thanos with all of the Infinity Stones?

You may be having a little too much fun, though Piccolo kills all people ^^. Although it sounds like the American version has some funny phrases built into it. It didn't exist in German, so when you think about it, it's very gloomy. As Piccolo just kills everyone without hesitation and in such a brutal way. I also think it's nice how characters keep popping up and it always feels very natural.

Just a little thing that got lost in translation. Although there are 43 sectors, there is not 43 kings. King Furry is actually the king of all sectors, this pretty much makes him king of the world. That's why the little girls that are presenting him flowers are clearly from different nationalities around the world.

I would like to apologize ahead of time for this long comment :p I, like many people I feel, grew up with the DBZ dub that had the Bruce Faulconer soundtrack and over my life I've rewatched the series in it's many reiterations. The ocean dub, the original Funi dub with Bruce Faulconer music, the Funi redub with Kikuchi music, DBZ Kai on Nicktoons had a weird scoring to it with almost no music during certain moments, then they did Kai with the Yamamoto music (which was great but, he himself was exposed for plagiarizing like 90% of everything he did and the entire series was rescored), and the Kai retrack with the original music by Kikuchi, all of them fine in their own right. The topic of which soundtrack is better is probably the most divisive discussion within the fanbase not related to the actual story of the show lol. I believe I have the unpopular opinion here amongst your viewers when I say I prefer the Kikuchi sound track over Bruce Faulconer's for Z but in Kai it misses it’s mark sometimes and I’d say the Yamamoto score excels. I just felt that those silent moments people talk about didn't need music to begin with and Bruce didn't know how to hold back. He definitely has a few good character moment tracks that people talk about to this day but, to me a lot of his stuff was very 90s synthwave keyboard with long drawn out notes. However! When it really comes down to it I’d say the story for the show takes paramount over the soundtrack and which version is best would be any version of DBZ Kai because they stick as closely and faithfully to the manga version of the story as possible. Any of the versions of the DBZ show are fine to watch too really, you won't lose anything from the show watching one over the other. Once you reach Super the characters all return to being what the creator intended anyway. In terms of what's available (legally) and what I would suggest I have 3 options: Option 1) The easiest for you to get access to is probably what Funimation has available to stream on their site, the original dub of DBZ with the Kikuchi track. It's a fine dub, however, the characterization of Goku was weirdly changed for the American audience. In the original dub he was made out to be more of a superhero cliche with a strong sense of justice. In actuality, Goku is supposed to be a fun loving goof (some might say idiot), who is arrogant, loves food, training and fighting strong opponents to test and surpass his limits and these qualities never change as his character ages, he's pretty much eternally a kid with a one track mind. Toriyama was one of the first to make a story with such an innocent and naive character that many other Mangaka would follow his example. Luffy from One Piece as a prime example. Option 2) Amazon has DBZ: Kai that was retracked with Kikuchi’s music for purchase on Prime Video. BUT only seasons 1-3. Option 3) Funimation has all the DVD and Blu-ray releases of Kai with what I believe (I’m not 100% sure) is the Yamamoto score available to order off their shop BUT they are pricey as HECK. I myself would choose this if I had the money because 1 it’s faithful to the manga and cuts out filler and 2 while Yamamoto is a plagiarizing HACK his score for the show I think fits the best. Licensing issues between Funimation and Toei have been in a constant back-n-forth for a long time when it comes to legal streaming rights of Kai. This is why it hasn't been made available in it's entirety for streaming. Other options would be finding other versions on dvd or being a pirate...yarrrrgh.
