⭐Fairy Tail Episodes 108-109: Watch Along & Analysis

Wasn't that a fun episode. Did you enjoy that? Huh? Did ya? WELL SNAP OUT OF IT COS REALITY IS ABOUT TO SET IN! (Summer is easing off on the darkness. Can't have that. We need balance here hehe) We have a lot of different moments coming up and they range from bad-assery to tragedy to a fated meeting that we have been waiting for between one of the 7 kin and one of Fairy Tails coolest members. Not only that, but you have more backstory coming up, help from unlikely sources, battles with unforeseen endings and of course, cliff hangers that will leave you wanting to find out more. Also, remember how you said that when you hear a certain song in this one you know you're gonna cry...food for thought. Kat's Question of the week: How are you going? (Not the question I would have gone for but who am I to judge with you being busy moving and all haha) I'm doing alright, lots of bills thanks to the summer months but I'm getting through it. Lots of anime to catch up on this month, bits and pieces to be made for you guys and plenty of games to play so keeping busy.

So the arc after this is anime-only, but it’s considered mostly canon because it gets referenced in the manga. It revolves around Lucy, so there is stuff about celestial wizards, but not its ultimate role in the story. The arc after that is the tournament arc. Celestial wizard magic doesn’t really get its own arc, it gets bits and pieces revealed throughout the story, like dragon slayer magic. And we do see the celestial spirit world at one point. (As for if you should watch the anime-only arc, yes, but should you react to it on here, I don’t know, at your current pace, I’d rather see you get to the tournament arc soon which starts on 151, but it’s up to you how to go about it.) No Cain and Abel references, sorry. BUT speaking of biblical references in Fairy Tail, Mashima actually made a really brilliant one accidentally with naming Cana. In one of the volumes, he said that her name came from Arcana, which has to do with tarot cards and stuff like that so her name was related to her magic. But what is Cana most known for in the series? How much she can drink. What was Jesus' first miracle? Turning water into wine at a wedding because they ran out of wine. Where did that wedding take place? In a little town called Cana. Hehehehehehehehehe 109, I've been waiting for thissss 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁 may I talk about Nalu a little bit (alot-a-bit)? ................................. I’m going to, anyway 😂 Not only does this episode encapsulate everything that’s already great about their relationship (great banter, great teamwork, how comfortable they are with each other, how much fun they have together, how much Natsu loves messing with Lucy), but it also kind of serves as the turning point in their relationship. For one thing, the physical comedy is new. And after that encounter with her chest (thanks, Happy 😊), Natsu seems to become way more aware of her body (a couple of moments in the tournament arc show this in action). And Natsu continues to get VERY acquainted with Lucy’s chest throughout the series. We also saw that Natsu, a guy that is always down for a fight with his friends, wouldn’t hit Lucy even though she was punching him. And lastly, when all the physical comedy and fun got stripped away, we saw the deepness of their connection that drives Lucy in her “I’m not running away” moment. So. Be ready to fall more in love with Nalu 😊 Oh, and since you asked, yes they do have a couple more tag team fights! And did you notice that right before their high-five, Natsu burned his hair to stand up in his signature spike? Which is another clue to him paying attention to his appearance. His bangs lay flat naturally, so he purposely styles his hair like that. Here he burns it into place, but Mashima said at one point that he also uses hair gel. So what ship do you think gets attention next??
