So I don’t know if you will read this but I have some info, probs not as stressful as others, just some food for thought. Zeref mentioned Achnologia, something so scary it causes the magic council to shake, (who weren’t even afraid of grimoire heart). What is this new threat? And why is it sometimes translated as “apocalypse”? Additionally Zeref mentioned he would not act in this era and that the current era is about to end, does that have anything to do with this incoming apocalyptic danger? Meanwhile the tenrou blessing is still inactive despite Azusa returning magical power, will this be the end for our heroes? Laxus, the 2nd strongest fairy tail wizard, faces the man who defeated his grandfather, will he be strong enough to defeat this foe? Will lily ever get over his fear of lightning? And one scary note, how can fairy tail avoid an apocalypse that threatens Zeref? Who will stand up against this threat and fight at risk of death, in hopes of saving the rest of the guild?

Haha wow, I think you’re the first person I’ve met with such a passion for the Butt Jiggle Gang. But hey, I’m glad they work for somebody, and like I said, she may not find them a con. But genuine question, when are you thinking they show up again? The only other time I remember seeing them is in the Hero’s crossover.

Summer, do not worry. We will be able to fill her with dread to all new levels when she is reading the comments again with all the arcs coming up. This is simply a reprieve, not a release. (Also Summer, DO NOT LIST THE BUTT JIGGLE GANG UNDER CONS. They are integral to the story and must be watched in all their glory so she is not allowed to skip this. They do appear again as well are not just a one off group in the series.) Kat's Question of the week: Magic side effects. There are many magics that wizards use which contain side effects. Most are due to not having full control over their particular magic abilities like Blue Note being surrounded by a gravity field pushing him down. This was something that affected Juvia before being part of Fairy Tail being followed by rain due to her having a very gloomy outlook on life. Juvia was able to stop the rain once she grew to be happy with Fairy Tail (or falling for Gray). Gildarts is another Wizard that uses highly dangerous magic and is sometimes unable to control it. This is why the town moves to make a road for him directly to the guild when he arrives. Zeref has the most deadly example of a side effect from magic as you have seen in previous episodes. Other Wizards have good side effects from their magic like Natsu not being affected by heat and Gray not being affected by cold. All of these effects are passive and usually occur without the users input. Finally there are side effects that are actively used by the wizard and activated on command like Dragon slayers eating their element to gain more magic power. As you can see, there are many dark moments in Fairy Tail. Some are backstories and others are events that happen in real time. You Have just seen one of the sadder moments with Ultear and don't think you have seen the last of it. So do you get all the hints now? Laxus is back and he is not happy. The moment of his arrival was hinted at when Makarov was defeated as they showed you a scene of him feeling something wrong in his travels but nothing else was shown apart from the very yellow lightning that built up to his entrance. Now things can really get going. We have the lightning dragon slayer and the fire dragon slayer along with with sky dragon slayer all helping the other members against Fairy Tail's second master. Are you prepared for the conflict that is to come? I want you to pay close attention to things that happen in the next couple of episodes. It is important that you note all the quirks that you hear about and all the things said. Trust me, you will want to remember this soon. After all, the arc is finishing soon and all will become clear when you get to it, even some of the mystery behind Akna-Logia hehe. Coming up you are about to see one of the best power-ups in my opinion in the whole series. It's a shocking new form. Get ready. The final fight is about to begin.

Oh no, Graystar and I won't be able to fill you with dread for two months, how will we spend our time?! Now you know why Ultear is one of my favorite characters 😭 and aren't you glad you haven't watched the new OP yet? It would've spoiled Laxus' return and we wouldn't have gotten that wonderful notebook-throwing reaction. Still don't watch the OP until 123. (also you should go back and watch the previous OP again now that you know that Gildarts is Cana's father, that OP 100% hinted at it) So I have very mixed feelings on what should come next. This arc is over at episode 124. Episodes 125-127 are filler. Then there's an anime-only arc, it's called Key of the Starry Heavens. It goes from episodes 128-150 and is pretty much canon because it gets mentioned in the manga and there's a canon ship that you only ever see interact in this arc. So I guess I'm just gonna list pros and cons of the arc. Pros: - Lucy's family history is touched on a little more - Return of some antagonists you've already met - A wonderful character that is only in this arc - The ending is sooo good! Cons: - Pacing. The first 10-12 episodes kind of feel like they could've been done in half the time. - Characters act out of character sometimes (or their quirks are accentuated a LOT) - The first fights are just kind of weird to me. - The Butt Jiggle Gang. So these are characters that were in Mashima's first big series, Rave Master, and so they show up in a few episodes of this arc (they won't show up in any other part of Fairy Tail). If you don't enjoy bathroom humor, you won't enjoy these characters. If you do, then hey, maybe this isn't a con. Like I said, I have mixed feelings. It's an arc that ultimately I think you should watch, but it also isn't super super important going forward and I'm really ready for you to react to the arc after it. If you do choose to skip it, here are some tips: Episode 151 is a mix of closing out Key of Starry Heavens and going into the next arc. The first 30 seconds of the episode shows some new characters and then the new stuff picks up again at 14:30. OVA 4 should be watched alongside episode 153, it takes place on the same day, but includes scenes from the manga that the anime cut out. I found a website that the OVAs are on, it's gogoanime.io.
