So I'm a little confused. Have you watched ahead for two months now or are you still watching in real time since the pod took off earlier than you expected? It's not that Natsu or dragon slayers can absorb just anybody's powers. The etherion was straight up ethernano, which is a mix of all magic power. Also that unlocked his dragon force, which is not the same as his lightning flame mode here. Jellal did give him power, but he gave it to him through fire, so Natsu was just eating fire like normal there. Then right here, this is something that is never outright explained, but it's consistent through the series. It seems to be that dragon slayers that are first generation (like Natsu, Gajeel, and Wendy) can absorb the powers of other dragon slayers that got their powers from lacrima (like Laxus and Cobra, they're second generation). Also from his fight with Zancrow, we see that slayers can adapt to different versions of their own element. So we've actually learned quite a bit about dragon slayer magic at this point, but there's still more to learn about it, so you really might want to write all that down.
