Thought of some more notes and totally forgot to answer your questions -The Straw hats total bounty at this point is 239 Million.(Luffy:100Mil, Zoro:60Mil, Robin 79Mil) now before you start wondering whether Robin is stronger than Zoro, remember. Bounty is based on the threat the government deems you to be, taking power, but more importantly actions into account. It is not a direct indication of power. This is how you get guys like Bellamy, who's bounty is high not because he is strong, but because he does alot of damage and makes alot of noise. Thats kinda the whole point of mock town. The people of Mock town have the opinion Bounty = Power, which is wrong and so you get situations like Bellamy thinking he is a bigshot, when really he is NOTHING. I'm getting sidetracked here. Back to notes. I like that you stopped yourself from further questions concerning Whitebeard, I can safely comment without worry of being banned for spoilers. That being said you wondered about his current health issues, so lets dive right in. Whitebeard doesn't suffer from a disease per se. His health problems are a result of old injuries, a lifetime of hard-living that pirate life, and his advanced age (Whitebeard is 72 by the way.). Despite all these things however he is still the strongest pirate. Makes you wonder though. What was Whitebeard like in his prime? And with that final question to ponder enjoy the episodes.

Got some major lore dumps, met Whitebeard, and the straw hats are on their way to sky island. now with so much lore you're gonna need some notes. 1st. just to make it clear. "red hair" is the moniker for Shanks and his crew the red hair pirates. 2nd. as Darksteel noted Whitebeard is a translation quirk, that most translators have taken to because it sounds better than other options. Also a great contrast to Blackbeard, whom we also just met. Speaking of Blackbeard, lets just recap what we know. Blackbeard was a former member of Whitebeards 2nd division (under Ace's authority) He killed a member of the crew, breaking the 1 ironclad rule Whitebeard has. (which is why Ace is hunting Blackbeard) The Blackbeard pirates were the ones who destroyed Drum kingdom (Choppers home) Thats all we have so far. Now what about Blackbeards crew. NOTES ON BLACKBEARD PIRATES Jesus Burgess: Helmsmen, likes to boast that he is the fighting champion. Though as noted by a mock town citizen he is NOT famous or noted, and i would also point out that he only seemed to attack random unimportant people, not big shots like Bellamy or Roshio (the guy Bellamy threw out a window) Van Auger: Sniper. shot seagulls from such range that the island he was on couldn't be seen. He blamed fate for the seagulls death and suffering, taking no responsiblity for his own actions. Doc Q (and his horse Stronger): chronically ill. Gave random people a chance to eat explosive apples(after they help him, which just makes it worse). Noted Luffy as lucky because he didn't get a bad apple. Laffite:Tap dancer. Snuck into a meeting, in the most secure area of the world government, with many notable figures, despite wearing tap shoes(the tap shoes may be anime-only). A former sheriff who was exiled for being excessively cruel and violent. All in all the entire Blackbeard crew is comprised of some pretty shitty people.

2021-04-28 08:54:09 +0000 UTCI think the general understanding of the naming of Whitebeard and his moustache is that it's a quirk of translation. In Japanese, Whitebeard's name is Shirohige (白ひげ, she-row-HEE-geh). The name is composed of two parts: "shiro" (meaning white as in the color) and "hige" (meaning hair). The word "hige" refers to many different kinds of hair. It can mean beard, mustache, sideburns, etc. [1]. Whitebeard having a white moustache still fits in Japanese. Bartolomew Kuma : Warlord, bounty 296 millions, always walks with a Bible. Donquiotte Doflamingo : Warlord, bounty 340 millions, has some sort of mind control ability. Has a pink coat. Tsuru : The old lady, vice admiral, High rank marine. Sengoku : The man with the goat , Admiral in Chief. High rank marine Whitebeard : Huge. Even sick he is considered the strongest man in the world. Lafitte : The tap dancer guy, Blackbeard Pirate member Doc Q : The one with the horse, gave Luffy an apple. Blackbeard Pirate doctor. Jesus Burgess : The wrestling guy, Blackbeard Pirate helsman. His birthday is actually December 25th. Van Augur : Shots some seagulls, Blackbeard Pirate sniper. Blackbeard (Itself) : Gave Luffy a speech about dreams. The only character in One Piece that looks like a pirate. Oh and during this episode, Luffy one shot Bellamy.
