⭐Naruto Shippuden Episodes 27 & 28: Watch Along & Analysis

28: First, the Law and Order theme in the background...priceless lol. Second, welcome to the first major instance of "mixed canon"/"anime canon". A lot of people consider this episode borderline filler which is kind of funny. I like the idea of working and pushing to be stronger than you were...but I'm not gonna lie, these fights go from them getting beat like drums to one-shotting the clones in about 5 seconds. Just wish it was a bit more, or had been off-screen I guess.

27: The shifting budget/animation level does continue throughout Shippuden, but there will also be instances where a different studio or animator is given an episode/arc and you get to see more variety, which is actually kinda cool. Plus the random nonsense on "bad animation" episodes like googly eyes and broken necks and no facial features, which are great. The entire story and confrontation with Sasori/Sakura/Chiyo is just incredibly well executed both in the writing and animation. This whole thing is quite sad, a solid...7 in general, but compared to all of Naruto I'd give it a 5, maybe only a 4. IMO at least there are several later moments that are devastating compared to this.

I believe the reason why chiyo never said anything was because of the nature of the parents mission and the higher ups were suppressing any intel leaks

In the episode lady chiyo even stated that sasori could of easily dodged that attack since he didn’t seeing Sakura the way she was some have speculated that was the second he realised his parents were dead and that he let him self die to be with them

Yes, there is an abridged series for original Naruto, done by a couple of the same guys that did DBZ Abridged. Its hilarious and I would HIGHLY recommend.
