Just think, You were watching Dragonball all those months ago and thinking that Goku would never have to find out about his power of becoming a Great Ape.....Weeeeeell..... Goku has not option but to fight the now treansformed Vegeta in a state that Multiplies his power to incredibly high levels (as you have seen with Goku and Gohan). What will he do in his weakened state?

There are some differences in the dialogue between the funi dub and other dubs like ocean and Jap. Funimation took some liberties for western audiences (remember that this came out when Japanese culture and customs like explanations in a fighting anime were not appreciated by the west) to change some of the things said by Vegeta and Goku. Another instance of this happening is Goku saying that the blast that tore his Gi was so powerful that the rest of his shirt felt like paper after the fact and so it was easier to tear off. We will have to explore a few of these areas when we go into analysis later on with other versions of the anime. BTW, it was Kaio-ken times 4. (important for context and other stuff later on) Remember that his power started at over 8000 (actual number before ocean and funimation changed it and made it a meme) when he powered up vs Nappa. Kaio-Ken is a boosted stat of doubling ones power and then multiplies it further when further powered up. So when he faced Vegeta at Kaio-ken times 3 he is effectively battling at over 24000 by their power scale. Vegeta had to use his trump Card, the Galick Gun to match this and Goku then had to go further up to times 4.

The stare down on the wasteland mesas is one of the series' most iconic moments. https://m.media-amazon.com/images/M/MV5BNmUxMjg1NTQtMTI4OS00M2IwLThiYzktODlmYjZlZDJiMTM4L2ltYWdlL2ltYWdlXkEyXkFqcGdeQXVyMTk3OTMzOA@@._V1_.jpg Sean Schemmel has really good pipes on him. Many of Goku's most epic screams are barely edited. Only a few are cut together screams for a longer more epic effect. A behind the scene clip of him recording for one of the Super movies shows him holding a scream for a good 8-10 seconds and continuing the recording to perform even more lines, shouts, and more screams. Which is still very impressive.

Well Goku's in trouble now. Vegeta's about to show him the true nature of the Saiyan race. About Vegeta asking Goku to join him, that was actually a dub change transferred over from the Ocean Dub. You'll see a few more of those as the series continues . In every other version, Vegeta doesn't offer Goku a job at all. He instead tells Goku a little about Saiyan society. Shortly after they're born, their battle power is tested. The ones with the lowest rank are sent to weak planets, like Earth. So Kakarot is actually a Low Class Saiyan that was basically an outcast. Goku responds to all this with this sentence (might be paraphrasing) "Even a low class can surpass an elite if he works hard enough". Vegeta took that as a joke and vowed to put Goku in his proper place. There are other moments in the dub that miss the full context and intentions, I don't know them all but I'll point out the more egregious example if I spot them.
