However, she clearly didn't and doesn't have those feelings for "Aqua", so it'll be interesting to see how she reconciles his two identities when they learn each other's pasts. Based on how she talked about him too, it seems like her crush has maybe developed moreso into an admiration for him, rather than romantic interest. After all, it's been 16+ years since she's seen him. Could be wrong about that, though.

2023-07-25 01:14:14 +0000 UTCI think Sarina and Ai's love situations were similar in that they were both so desperate to experience love with anyone that show care and affection for them. We also never saw Sarina's family around at all when she was sick like how Ai's family was never there for her.

The author is notorious for baiting weird tropes like this (as a call out to the ppl who actually write it), and it is very unlikely that he will do anything with it other than address it and eventually use it as character development for Ruby later down the line. That being said, some authors genuinely write that sort of stuff.

I pray the show won't go down that route though.. I can tolerate a lot of stuff but that would make it really hard to watch for me lol
