Despite knowing Fern for 10 years, having watched her grow up and helped Heiter raise her, she still missed how precious Fern's staff was to her. The same Frieren who has kept and used Flamme's earrings for 1000 years. Maybe it's an elf trait because Serie is similarly dense, at least in the flashback when we saw her be dismissive of Flamme's death but also couldn't help but reminisce about Flamme as a child. And of course, as you picked up, the flower spell.

2024-04-05 15:02:42 +0000 UTCJust some things from the episode that I thought could be interesting incase you missed it: Being able to see fluctuations in Frierens and Series supressed mana is a very big deal and is almost impossible. So Lernen being able to see Frierens fluctuations and being able to tell she is supressing it marks him as incredibly talented, and Fern being able to see Series even more so. And as some other people here have pointed out already that Series supressed mana basically is the same as Frierens full mana shows the real power difference there.

2024-04-04 19:33:34 +0000 UTCu missed a bit, for example serie student told that he noticed frieren mana to fluctuate (were told episodes ago that it means mage is hiding his mana) and told that frieren is on serie lvl, but a bit latter serie told that he disapointed her because he never noticed fluctuation in her own mana, in short words that mean serie mana when she hide it is on the same lvl as frieren full power which mean that serie is much much much much stronger than frieren
